Just hit 100 today, took 18 months, but mainly because I didn't tell anyone about the channel in my friends & family, and let it grow on the basis of the content and consistency alone. Not that I recommend or don't recommend this, it's just something I preferred for myself. Best part, it hit 100 on my birthday week! All the best for 1st 100 to you :)

I made it over 100 subscribers, and the reason I am watching this video is because I don't want to forget the basics of running a youtube channel. As for how long it took me to get to 100, that depends. I started my channel a while back, barely posted anything, wasn't super committed to it, and got about 10 subscribers after around 6 months with 5 or so videos. Then I decided: I am going to put hours upon hours into creating a high quality video, and see how it does. That video now has 3000 views, and has gained me 35 subscribers. I can't remember exactly, but I think it took about 4 weeks after that to gain 100 subscribers. I now have 774.

@@FindingTheTruthMinistry Something I found helpful with making my thumbnails was learning what colors pop on each other, and which ones blend well together. I have been finding a lot of different ways to help text stand out to, such as drop shadows, outlines, etc. I would also recommend searching for a black gradient that you can put along the top, bottom, or side of your thumbnail, and ad text on top of it. It makes a world of difference. Hope that helps! :)

This is so relatable, see most of us thinks about big channels or names that after sometime they don't focus much on the Thumbnail (excluding some passionate creaters) ofcourse coz now they already have enough people visiting their channel even if the Thumbnail is not that much great they will get the views but for us beginners Thumbnail and Title plays crucial role coz its the first thing people get a look upon if they don't know who we are and what we create. In my last video i made a good thumbnail and it performed way better than my other videos in the starting period.

Thanks Rob, this helps. Loosing 21 subscribers in couple of days out of total of 52 subscribers was devastating 😢. But I am passionate on making better content and I work hard, so when I saw 2 added subscribers next day I was dancing on my table 😄. So don't be disheartened, good things happen to hardworking people. Now I'm waiting to reach 60 subscribers. Best of luck to you and me. 😇

It took me about 3.5 months of actively posting videos to get to 100 subs and that was just this past Friday. Within the past 2 days I’ve gone up to 113 subs which is an amazing weekend for me honestly! Keep going, you can get there! Hitting 100 really makes you feel like you are on your way! Get excited about the small wins too!

I actually just reach over 100 yesterday! I've had the channel for a little over a year but didn't really post till 5 months ago when I started really posting 1 to 2 videos every day! anyone that sees this if your starting a KZbin journey don't give up growth is slow and I was very lucky to reach even this point but you got this!

I've been doing KZbin for 10 years not in a competitive way but I think breaking it down as you say is far more encouraging. I've only got 53 subscribers but I just hit 500 hours of views so thats over 10% of the 4000 hours. I am aiming to make my channel more competitive - thanks for the tips.
