This is a short video on how to get your Mexican Citizenship. I was confused going through the process with the other videos on youtube so I tried making it short with as much information to get you feeling confident and knowledgeable. In this video I talk about:
The Docs needed
-Your birth certificate, passport, and drivers license, application
-Your parents Mexican birth certificates, passports and drivers license
*Also their marriage certificate if they got married before having you.
-How to schedule your appointment with the consulate
Getting your dual citizenship and passport on the same day!
-Pros and cons of being a dual citizenship
This is the link for the application you need to fill out: chrome-extension://hbgjioklmpbdmemlmbkfckopochbgjpl/file:///C:/Users/ab301/Downloads/SOLICITUD%20RC%20v090418.pdf
Also the link to the Consulate Website in MIAMI FL: consulmex.sre....

I scheduled my appointment on the internet for at the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles on 04/11/2024. I selected "Passport etc" (it was wrong). I took they day off. They turned me away for not selecting the correct choice "registro Civil" was the correct choice. They told me to call again. It takes days before they have appointments available. Parking is $20.00 across the street..

I’ve had mine for a while, since my parents did all the leg work when I was born. This is pretty good info. The only thing I do take issue with is the “no sabo” dig. My first language is Spanish, and I strongly feel everyone should know at least two languages, what I don’t agree with is belittling those who don’t. Por encima de todo, el respeto y la integridad hacia los demás y hacia nosotros mismos.

Im a Hispano my ancestry traces back to Northern New Mexico USA my family predates the United States. I have no family or connections south of the border. Prior to the U.S it was Mexico and then it was New Spain. I am a Mestizo half Spanish half Native American who identifies strongly with my New Mexican heritage. If your parents are naturalized US citizens, they are still Mexican citizens as well since the US does not require you forfeit your original citizenship. If they know their CURP you can get a valid copy of their birth certificate online to print at home. As long as you have that and their US ID/DL, it should meet the qualifications for ID verification.

@@JuniorLA213 Are you trying to claim Mexican citizenship via both your parents? It’s still very doable. You’ll have to have both parents Mexican birth certificates and your father’s death certificate. If you are over the age of 18, your parents are not required to go with you, but you do have to present their marriage certificate if they were married. That should satisfy the ID requirement for your parents so you shouldn’t need to present a photo ID for them.
