I’m looking to take the course whether or not I ever own a bike.

In my country the Netherlands you have to do so many tests and at least pay €1500,- It's ridiculous. Approximately 15 hours of lessons, and 3 exams. Theory: 65 questions, must have 52 correct. Exam 1: Do 7 special maneuver pawn tests. Exam 2: 50 minutes driving in real traffic, can't make any big mistakes.

Wow, that is very extensive. Funny how in a place where riding bicycles is so prevalent, they apply such strict rules for a motorcycle

I used my first motorcycle to take the driving test and passed the first time. It was a Hayabusa.

@@socalmoto714 I was about 35 at the time. So, I was somewhat mature. It wasn't a very difficult test. I remember having to go around cones.

In Alabama all u have to do is pas the written test and you have your license.

In Canada, you can get any CC bike you want even after passing just your M1. The only issue here is will an insurance company actually insure you, and if they do the price.

Last I know in Texas, you still need to pass the DMV written after passing the course - even if you're older than 21. That was what I had to do 20 something years ago as well.

My brother only had to do the MSF course's test. In the course description it said in big, bold, letters to NOT TAKE THE DMV ONE... as the test you take in the course counts for both

UK has a pretty decent system imo. but its worth googling because explaining it will not do it justice. it depends on age for us

@ apparently here in Oklahoma they follow you around some streets in the area, giving you instructions, while you wear a 1 way walkie talkie. That’s it.
