Hey bud, thanks for checking in, we are good! 77” fell in the Town of Orchard Park, which is where the Bills stadium is, well south of Buffalo. I’m 20 minutes northeast of the City of Buffalo, we got 6” Friday and this morning we picked up 10-12”. So far it’s been uneventful. I’m planning to shoot a video tomorrow for an update!

@@CraigArndt For some reason I thought you guys were in Orchard Park. My cousin was saying this morning he's been in a loader going on 30 hours now between OP & Hamburg. He lives in Springville (where I was raised) and they got a little, but nothing to talk about. Glad all is well!

Wow, I have an older version of that same unit back from the 90's. I bought it from a couple that was moving to Florida. It still runs great but the housing is rusting out. Do you have any suggestion on stopping them from rusting? I normally keep it in the shed in the summer and in the garage in the winter.

I take a broom to mine after I get done using it. Knock all the snow off the top, chute and the tops of the housing skids and engine. Remove the snow, removes the water and it helps a lot with rust. We are in a high road salt area so I always get the end of the driveway done first then the rest of the driveway where there’s no salt.

@@CraigArndt Hi Craig, I do the same thing. I thought you might have a secret method I hadn't thought of. I'm in a high snow area also, but this winter has pretty much been slow free except for an inch we received a month ago. Thanks!

Hi Craig, I have the same snow blower with the manual differential control on the wheel. Any idea on how to get the wheel off so I can fix a flat. Thanks.

The wheel is just held on by 4 lug nuts if you have this model with the differential. It should come right off, maybe a tap with a rubber mallet if need be. If you have the wheel that the axle tube slides into, that’s gonna need a torch to heat the wheel good and hot, then hit it with a hose to cool it quick. Wheel will usually come right off, if not do it again.. but if you have my blower and axle and the lugs removed and it won’t come off, beat on it with a rubber mallet.

Let me know if you need anything! While you have the wheel off(if it’s the left side) you can get to that grease zerk that lubes the bearing. Have a good weekend.

I think I just purchased the exact same snow blower. Do you find the tire chains a necessity?

Yes they are necessary for the amount of snow and ice we receive.
