@@bcleee fire cactus is less versatile. Before you bring up the crit multiplier, it doesn't help too much. Ice cactus is a good character to switch into when you see a lobby of mobility based characters, at least.

The issue with ice cactus isn't that she's bad, but she is overshadow by regular cactus. Considering that regular cactus deals more damge and better in moste situations, not mention that ice is just regular cactus with less damge and a freeze that you need to hit multiple time to activate.

Exactly. I even prefer fire cactus to ice cactus. Ice cactus is good when surrounded with at least one ally to assist and follow through. A solo ice cactus soon makes himself known to the enemy and will have to rely on self for defensive situations. Playing ice cactus WELL demands: -Being smart with location and surrounding environment. -Being smart with ammo consumption and decision to shoot. -Having an escape route or three, -being in somewhat close proximity to an ally. -being content with assists and pissing off zombie strategies more than offensive stats. Leave your ego at the door! -being more accurate than any other cactus. Because your life literally depends on it more than other cactus. IMO best ice cactus upgrades: SPEED RELOAD SPEED FASTER FREEZE More ammo is overrated.

I’d say you have to be truly more cunning, accurate, selfless and efficient to play ice cactus more than ANY other cactus. It’s a great but rewarding challenge. You almost have to see yourself as a sunflower role, for support, but with offensive and defensive prowess and not one dimensional. The ice cactus is a Swiss Army knife for the player that wants a rich and comprehensive experience.

I’d hesitate to call Ice Cac a “sniper”. It depends. Also with any cactus, you MUST know the effective ranges of the one you choose to play. Standard cactus is versatile. Ice cactus I have found is, as well, but more beneficial for survival in mid range distances among or near allies. It is an even toss up if you want more ammo or reload speed or more health. Depends on what you want to get out of your gameplay experience. But imo movement speed is mandatory and will be the deciding factor of almost all confrontations and even team strategy approaches.

I have a list of who I have left to do, as well as who to consider remaking, and typically just choose at random. The only consistent decision I make is that one week is for plants, and then the week after is for zombies, rinse and repeat.

It’s due to the recent influx of players from the recent steam sale. Because of the intense spike in player count, it’s putting quite a bit of stress on the servers. Only fix I can think off would be to try and play at a time when activity is low, as by that point, the player count would’ve dropped low enough that the servers are relatively stable.
