Hey! Thank you for your quick video! I have juuuuust finished reading Marshall Rosenberg's book „Nonviolent communication„ and, I have to say, your adapted version on how to give difficult feedback is actually the original version on how to do it. At no point does Marshall, the father of NVC, recommend guessing other people's feelings (we understand their feelings by asking compassionate questions). Instead, he talks about opening up about our own feelings and needs. So the NVC way works as long as we use „I„ instead of „you„ statements. I am a novice here, trying to better understand the theory, so that is why I wrote this comment. Thank you for your time!

Excellent video, Vicky! This is a tough but important topic, and a good approach to handling it.

How about giving feedback violently? 💀

You play into the whole woke thing with "violent". Since when is violence a speach thing? What about just respectful?

If you do a quick google, you could learn a lot about the term nonviolent communication before jumping to the woke-boggyman.
