I LOVE Peach and Lily! I just started using Dermatica and can't wait until I'm at the stage I can incorporate P&L into my routine. Very interesting video. BTW, I received the City Beauty lip gloss I asked you about. I really like it and will be ordering more colors!!

For about a year I’ve been using mainly korean skincare after a decade of western skincare routine and I have to say it has changed my life! There’s just something so unique about the moisturizers and creams, the textures, the way they look on the skin, the gentle but affective, just everything! I’d say I’m bordering asian skincare addiction. I do still stick with the ordinary squalene cleanser though I just prefer the texture to the hard texture and recently discovered Krave beauty’s oil cleanser in a tube. I love it! My favorite toner of the dozens I have is the Mediheal Baoab toner. It’s got gentle PHA as well as peptides, ceremides, cholesterol, and fatty acids. It does so much as a toner! The matching serum is also lovely. Highly recommend!

I couldn't agree with you more... once you dabble in Korean skincare - it is hard not to DIVE straight in! I haven't tried Mediheal, so thank you for the recommendation 🥰

Another great video. Thank you! My interpretation of glass skin is achieving skin so smooth that it easily reflects light. And yours does just that - wow! BTW, I've tried both the Skin1004 and Beauty of Joseon sunscreens and find the latter provides a dewy finish. I've found the Skin1004 to be heavier. But I guess you live in a colder climate so it would be suitable.

Thank you! I agree with your interpretation of glass skin, that is a nice way of seeing it! I love the BOJ sunscreen too, but oddly enough - i find that one to be heavier. So funny how the same product renders a different perception from everyone. Have a wonderful week 💛

I will definitely try that sunscreen. It sounds like it might be great for me. I’m in my mid 60’s. I don’t know if it’s possible for me to get the glass skin I had in my 40’s before illnesses and tragedies struck. I didn’t know that term 20 years ago, but I’m certain that it’s how my skin would be characterized now. One of the reasons for my great skin was exercise as well as good skin care and systemic hydration. I have no idea if glass skin is possible without the other components.

I really do think it is a relative term - my preference is to focus on healthy skin! I agree with you re: exercise/hydration. I am sure you look FAB at 60

Wonderful video And yes, you do have glass skin! I am in my early 60's with sensitive skin. Oh, how far we've come in skincare and I only wish I'd discovered Korean skincare sooner. Back in the day, my skin was considered oily, so the dermatologist would set me under the sun lamp which would dry my skin. The products I was told to use, stripped moisture from my skin and I'd break out. It was a vicious cycle. Within the past couple of decades, I used skincare for sensitive skin, but I never got the results that I have with the K-beauty steps. Now, I use only Korean brands, nightly sheet masks and this very day, my husband told me my skin looked radiant! TonyMoly Chok Chok Green Tea is my main line with a few other TonyMoly items in the routine. I use [heimish] Artless Glow Base SPF 50 for my primer/sunscreen. No need for foundation.

Wow - isn't it crazy to think back on what we used to do? My worst skincare nightmare was the belief that tanned skin was healthy skin (or at least looked healthy), so tanning beds, and sunbathing with baby oil was my go-to. Cue the hyperpigmenation I deal with now! Thanks for sharing your story, and also the recommendation. I haven't tried TonyMoly - so will check it out!

My skin is so fair and on the dry side, I exfoliate maybe once a week, maybe I should do more. I've got a tip ..you know the Sunday Riley Good Genes with lactic acid?, It's expensive. There is another product basically the same, it's great, with lactic acid, "Pond's Rejuveness" really you should pick it up. I do have a very smooth finish when I use this at night or day, or I use the Sulwhasoo Overnight Vitalizing Mask, It's pricey, but you can buy as part of sample set on Stylevana or Ebay. Isntree just came out with a Cream with yams, that's gotten a rave review. I've heard such good things about Peach & Lily and Skin 1004.

The peach and Lilly lactic acid is also great! I have a weird fascination with lactic acid serums and like Sunday Riley but I can’t use it because of the essential oil fragrance makes me break out. One really good one I recently found on Amazon is the Cos De Baha lactic acid 12.5%. It’s one of the least watered down formulas I’ve found ❤

@@angelinebiswas7611 Thanks, I'll check that out. I'm on a strict no more skin care products for the next 6 months! The 7% Glycolic Acid from The Ordinary is pretty good, and very gentle, I put that on once a week. Wow, the peach and lily lactic acid is expensive, and it's a cheap ingredient, but the cos de baha is a good price, I'll have to remember that one.

Thanks so much for the tips - I will look out for the Pond's product, I haven't seen/heard of it (but can't say I have looked for it). Sulwhasoo is so good isn't it? Maybe YAMS are the skincare ingredient of 2023?!

For me, the term glass skin always conjures images of overly-reflectively shiny skin. And, if I’m being honest, it sorta looks unnatural to me. I much prefer a dewy healthy glow. Great video, as usual!
