I used to be the “smart kid” in school, and I have to admit, it was mostly luck. I thought school was fun, I enjoyed taking notes, and I just understood things quite quickly. I didn’t really work for it. Sure I practised sometimes, but not a lot. Other people studied far more than me and got worse grades. Being school smart is definitely something that is easier for some than others. edit- wow, a lot of people relate to this. Also, yes I am bracing for a crash in a few years, you don't need to remind me, tips on getting better at studying are very welcome though!

@@xYuyiiYeah, you do have to start studying in high school- but honestly not even that much. Often times studying just means 10 minutes of revision, of course not to say there aren't situations where you have to spend an hour on it. But most of 'studying' is really just memorising the equations, since you already tried your shit hardest to understand the concept in class, you just zoom through the test.
@Cecilia-ky3uw
@Cecilia-ky3uw 8 ай бұрын
And yeah it is easier- but I've noticed people don't even try to understand what they're doing, which is the first thing you should be doing when learning, anything to have an idea what you're doing goes very far. Mean sure sometimes that leads to some weird positions where you argue for the logic of sqr(s/a) = t(the reason is distance divided by distance over time squared means that after sqr, in theory you should get the value of time) but the s= ut+1/2at^2 formula derives instead sqr(2s/a), and u = 0 btw. Still don't get that shite to this day.

@owenlangfield6097 Yes, and "attractiveness" is something that's very subjective, so looking to attract people can mean very different things to different people. We can't please everyone, so pleasing ourselves and therefore pleasing others who like our personalities is the best thing to do, no?
@TheWeen344
@TheWeen344 8 ай бұрын
@@anotherstrawberry-dn3nr fr, when you look after yourself, you attract people who want to be more like you in that sense. Or at least (what you should REALLY want) you will attract GOOD people that will make for valuable friendships and great connections, in turn you learn from them and improve. "trying" to be liked shows in your personality and can also make you end up with the wrong people (abusers and overall negative people) because you seek validation from others - I know from experience and man life has been good since I started treating myself better.

This is my experience, what worked the best for me. optimizing strength, volume and time, remember to always prior form, be followed by someone who knows well thoose movements, let's begin: Simple workout that is great for men and women: 3 days a week for beginners: Every workout just do one exercise for muscle group, prefer basic movements in free weight, do not use machines if you are a noobie, you need to strength that core, here it is an example: 6x6 back squat 6x6 rows 6x6 deadlift 4x10 push ups (if you struggle do an easier version) 3x15 crunches 4x10 curls 4x10 lateral raise 3x15 calf raise You can switch excerxies how you like, but try to alternate from up and down and to push and pull for best recovery Always count 60 to 100 seconds series to series, try to push (or pull) with a weight that fits you well (first week just do minimum), but every workout raise it a bit, for reference, if you are a girl (boy) that weights 55kg (70), you need to squat at least 80 (110)kg in 1 year of progression When you feel more comfortable with your body, try to separate days in push and pull alternating it from day 1 to day 2, and add 1 workout a week I also raccomend to warm up well those joint and stretch up for flexibility 20 min before when you are capable of running, try to implement it in you workouts, splitting 10x200m, 6x800m, 1x8km the days you not workout (it is less time consuming) Sorry for my grammatics, I'm Italian, but I hope it helped! Ps, during winter eat lot of carbs and protein, if you are a girl, try to eat as much as you can in the first months, you need energy and macros to build muscle, at the beginning you will have a bit of fat (for not working out) and when muscle grows you see yourself a little bulky, but is normal, stick to it and trust the process, in about 2 months your metabolism will fasten so much and you will loose fat if you eat normally because clean weight you have the easiest is to loose bodyfat%

There is an epigraph in the Dune book that still impress me to this day “Muad'Dib learned rapidly because his first training was in how to learn. And the first lesson of all was the basic trust that he could learn. It is shocking to find how many people do not believe they can learn, and how many more believe learning to be difficult. Muad'Dib knew that every experience carries its lesson.”

To be that kid I’d like to add 3 more tips: 1. Don’t just keep your social life within your school. Try to have social circles, friends, acquaintances, and dating options in other schools as well. The kid that everyone is really jealous of is known all across your area, and it will help your status in HS + in college when you have to go up against 30 year olds. 2. In relation, go to football and sporting events in other schools to build this network. Most of the out of school networking is done here. 3. Do a sport. Don’t just exercise but please do a sport because that kid is often a performer in front of everyone. And not just any. Whether it’s Basketball, Football (tbh try out one of the big 2 being FB or BB), Track, Soccer, or Baseball, do any of these 5.

Ok…interesting video. I would consider myself the “star student” as you put it. (Top of my class in grades, star on sports teams, popular, etc) and I would say it’s pretty simple. A lot of it is time management. Get a lot of sleep, but don’t waste hours scrolling on your phone or playing video games. Don’t procrastinate, and pay attention in class. Paying attention in class helps you not have to study as much. He did a great job covering looks/sports, and for popularity, just be kind to everyone and go the extra mile to make sure that they know they are seen and you care about them. If you put others ahead of yourself they are likely to do the same to you. Also find a way to be outgoing without being obnoxious (something i had to work on), and confident without being arrogant (something I also had to work on. Also find the Lord cause you gonna need him to keep you balanced and stable. Hope this could help a little ❤

For us we still have to do PE once a week by 11/12th (Years 10 and 11 for me) and we're strongly encouraged to go to at least one PE club. We actually have A LOT of people who are good at sport and studies because our school needs a super hard academic exam to get into which means everyone is already good at studies and then we obviously have very skilled sports people. I think it's still possible to do well in sports simultaneously if you're sleeping enough and in the past you've built up stamina, skills etc. But if being top at sports isn't your priority (it's not mine) then I'd advise against putting tons of effort into just that and not study as much. Just exercise regularly - even 15 to 30 minutes a day - and not only will you have time to do other things but you will also start improving. Daily exercise does a lot.

I had this person who was a seriously tough rival back in the day he transferred schools but he was very smart and very hard working but he never managed to outscore me in any subject because I tried my best to work even harder and make the best use of my talents out of all my peers and I couldn't have managed to that if I didn't put in the work.

There is no such thing as perfect, or best. There is only the best version of something - in this case, the best version of yourself. Yes, you should be yourself, but striving to be better never hurt nobody. However, mediocrity always makes you feel worse. Don't become that guy, at 23, with no job, living in your parent's house because you accept mediocrity. You can be better, so why not be better? You're doing it for yourself, not the approval of others who see you as "that guy".

I'm glad that KZbin recommended your video! I'm 14 and I'm planning to start University at 16... To study medicine... In Germany. I know, I made things way more complicated for myself than they needed to be, but I'm extremely proud of what I've been able to do so far! Maybe my dreams aren't that unrealistic after all. Anyways, back to the point. I've been searching for guides or tips to become a better student overall and your videos are just what I needed. Also, I like how you explain things. Thank you for making these guides, I'm sure there are other people who are as thankful as I am! (Sorry if I made some grammatical errors, english is not my first language)

To answer those who are asking how I'm planning to enter University at 16, it's kind of simple (in theory, in practice it's such a pain xd) In Mexico, where I'm from, you can complete your studies in a single exam. I'm not aware whether it's the same in other countries. So, that's what I'm doing to finish secundaria (studies between 12-14yo) and preparatoria (studies between 15-17yo) much sooner. Also, as far as I'm aware of, there's no minimum age requirement to enter University in Germany, however, if you don't have the necessary requirements to enter University directly, you have to assist Studienkollege which has a minimum age limit of 18 (Yeah, I really hope I'm prepared enough beforehand) Hope I made it clear!

Not tryna be THAT guy but I feel like videos like these are part of the reason why a lot of young men are insecure. When we can’t reach our perfect standards, we kind of make ourselves feel sad. The bottom line is, be who you are and don’t imitate others’ lifestyles even if they think they’re perfect. Live your life and do what works for you and always treat others with respect as well.

I have looks, physiques, good grades, good personality. Have amazing hobbies But still people hating on me for being too good at everything. Am alone...I come to hate people even though I treated them with kindness. Idk- am I the problem??? My coursemate doesn't want to work with me cuz they're scared of me that I'm too good that I need to do it alone🥲. But still it's good to do things just on my own cuz doing with group are time consuming and need to make everyone agrees on one thing. But still, some lecturers still want students do the work in group cuz what's the point of group work project if you do it on your own. Some lecturers doesn't mind if the student wanted to do the work on their own. Plus, most students who do things on their own got higher marks than the one who did in groups. I can feel myself good after getting full marks when I did the whole "supposed to be group project" and it proves that I'm better than them.

Of course you aren't the problem. The people who hate on you are jealous idiots and therefore they would never be good friends for you because they'd hate you for it. I'm in a similar situation and all I can say is that we should find things that make us happy and ignore other people being idiots and having inferior complexes. You seem like a really nice person to me though, so that's at least one person who respects you, and am certainly not the only one ❤️

As an honour roll student who’s rapidly approaching my senior year I can say these things: 1.) work hard. I used to be good by luck but high school taught me otherwise. It taught me to use EVERY resource I can use. 2.) be yourself. I know this guy is saying “change” your personality like it’s easy but truth be told, nobody likes a phoney (not even a geeky nerd like myself). 3.) try not to be awkward. Self explanatory.

I tried doing this a lot, I'm still doing this. Here is my experience: Exercising and Studying not only academics but also skills will always benefit you but whatever the guy is saying is very exaggerated. Sure studying is beneficial but you will never get as much marks as that student. I used to study my back off but sometimes you study very hard and you still fail to achieve your goal due to pure blind chance. Most of the times there is severe pressure on the student to succeed and score more than others from parents and teachers sometimes there is no choice but to put your health on the line to score more. Even if you do actually study cery hard it's completely dependent on the things which are out of your control, you can't memorize the entire book. Genetics play a very important role as well, I used to study very hard, take classes from one of the best tuitions, take advice from the best students and teachers from my school for the entire year and yet I still couldn't score as much as that student. Leave it, even if you do actually get good marks and others get more than you then your parents will underappreciate your work. Eating healthy is a privlege, you either don't have the money or you don't have the time. Fast food is sometimes just a lot cheaper and faster mostly due to the fact that the amount of study you'll have to do to get as that student is going to be horrifying. Trust me, you won't have time to make healthy food. Still follow this guy's advice because even if you don't become that student, you'll become a better version of yourself. Thank you.

I've become genuinely like this. And my take is this : you become popular but most your relationships become most of them superficial I think being too accessible to everyone makes people care less about you on a deeper level, as it shows that it seems like you only chase status and other's people approval : you'll never be able to have deeper conservation and have true connections. I eventually burnt out and my grades went downhill (I kept doing mostly what you're showing in your videos, made me stay afloat). Now I do everything the same but I try to do social butterfly less.
