Thank you so much for this video and greetings from South Carolina in the US. I have a new kitten who thinks everything breakable in my home is his toy!

I use a box with packing peanuts and foam to turn items the direction needed. The stay safe for days if needed.

Get a bucket larger around and maybe 8 inches deep. Fill it with FINE white sand. Now you have a perfectly stable and flexible surface to set your ceramic pieces so that you can work with the broken piece exactly level AND you can leave it dry in the up position.

Yes, there are other ways to position a piece.

You answered my question below and I really appreciate your words. I'm wondering if you could give me a recommendation on my second question: Can you recommend what to use to get the super-glue off properly without damaging the porcelain?
@theceramicrepairstudio10 ай бұрын
Depending on the item, I would use warm water to soften the glue then peel it off carefully,

I need to repair a porcelain horse whose leg has come off. It had been "super glued" years ago and in a recent move the glue released and leg was hanging. There might be a hint of super glue left. Do I need to make sure all of that is off before using your technique to repair? If so, what would you recommend to do that?
@theceramicrepairstudio10 ай бұрын
Yes, all the glue needs to be taken off.

I wanted to ask you what Ceramic Glaze would you recommend for porcelain, glass? There are triple glaze, medium glaze, clear, spray, etc. Thank you.

I use Rustins Ceramic Glaze, expensive and hard to now get hold of. You could try Winsor and Newton, although I cannot guarantee it is what you are after.

Ali I wanted to ask you something about Milliput. I just saw a video with a guy smoothing Milliput with Isoproply alcohol and I wanted to know what you thought of that. He was using it on parts that were hard to sand. Anyway he used it after he mixed the two together. In one part he dipped his brush in the alcohol and then picked up the milliput with the brush and he also just added alcohol to the milliput directly.

Hi Heidi, I haven't used isopropyl alcohol on Milliput before. You could possibly try it as a dummy. Please let me know how you get on. 🥰
