Man i appreciate your videos so much. Thanks for the Reverb tip. I am going to use that in a track i am working on. There is a trap drop that comes in and instead of separately reverbing them i am going to glue them together

Instead of turn the width down to the whole channels you do it with izotopes imager at certain frequencies where there is phase cancellation!

I think I'm missing something... on your older video on how to layer leads you talk about having one wide sound and one mono sound and in this video you talk about not doing that and say having two mono-ish sounds will help them sound more glued together... What did I miss?

Hey Zen so as reference to when you spoke on adding too much reverb to a sound, I tried using a dimension expander after I purposely washed out my sound with too much reverb and then EQ'D the whole thing and was able to make alot of depth and upfrontedness to match leads. Really just have to steer clear of super gainy/long attack pads. Much love bredren.

Does OTT work as glue compressor in this case?
@izvarzone
@izvarzone 4 жыл бұрын
Any compressor could but not all sound good on bus. I probably wouldn't use ott on bus, not a fan of mb-compressors on master in general, except for dolby-style compressors (more a vibe thing, and doesn't always sound good too)

Is there a difference between having reverb on a bus vs having the same reverb with same settings on each sound?
@Exxxxxxxxs
@Exxxxxxxxs 4 жыл бұрын
And the main difference u are asking for here is that u will save a ton of CPU when they are grouped
@benjiusofficial
@benjiusofficial 4 жыл бұрын
It depends on the reverb. If the response curve is linear and unmodulated with no feedback or fancy stuff, the only difference is cpu. If you are an algorithmic reverb or something modulated similar to a delay (think, like, Polyverse Comet), the effect isn't distributive.

It is wrong to adjust the output level of the plugins with which I process my elements - for example compressors, saturators, distortions, until the reverb increases the output level, then the same as I had input in matters of peak, but sometimes I lose RMS trying to match the output levels to take care of the head room and that the peaks do not go from -6 is it wrong to have less RMS after using an OTT than with my clean signal?

Yo zen! How do I add an audio or midi track to the existing group ?
@Tony2dH
@Tony2dH 4 жыл бұрын
You can just drag it to the combined group channel (immediately on the left of the channels in the group - channel 19 in this video). This will affect all the individual channels in the group.

Essentially don't each lead have different reverbs by default like from the synthesizer itself?
