Thank you for this video, about to plumb a new standing shower and this made me feel a lot safer before starting. Question, do you need a crimping tool for this? I saw that crimping piece that came with the adapter but is that just fastened with a screw?

Yes you need a crimp tool buy it from the big box store Amazon and eBay sell cheap crimp rings that will leak on pex pipes

cpvc is not the same as pvc cpvc is food grade and pvc is not.

Yea that’s correct I meant same thing as what glue would work on both materials

Also this fitting is doesn't work for pvc. It's only for cpvc. They have a different diameter. I found out the hard way trying to do this.
