See if you can pick out the elements that make Core JKD a foundational art. This flow that uses a directed, centerline drive to disrupt the attacker which opens up the pathways to top-down control.
Ming details the flow step by step and shows you a few of the optional pathways that may reveal themselves during an encounter of this kind. It's part of what makes Core JKD unique.
Core JKD - for the thinking, creative individual.

Great video! Form was excellent. I can't tell you how many times I see people demonstrating a Tan Sao without the elbow in off their center line. Also, never heard anyone mention the "grinding" that is supposed to take place when used to enter in or cut as you stated. I'm a Traditional Wing Chun vet and recently became interested in Silat. Thank you for showing they can be used together effectively.

Ahhh, soo amazing.. I've actually been deciding for the past few months whether to begin practicing Wing Chun or Kuntao Silat, so I absolutely love being able to learn a style that seamlessly blends the two together like this. Thank you for the upload!

oh, i feel a bit awkward that i just binged your list and wrote more comments in one day than in some years. But I love this arm bind you are showing here. And that dumog twistdown. One addition I have to offer: Sometimes when you get that bind, for example because your right hand gets blocked, or because the bind came from you foiling an underhook attempt, anyway, you wind up with your right hand on the opponents left hand. This gives you a very nice chance to feed his left hand into yours, so you can have both arms of your opponents tied with your left. Now, a very experienced fighter might close the gap immediately and use his head to stuff most of your striking (when you can just transition to your dumog), but most people will try to pull away, directly into your prime striking range. Perhaps I just make a video about that :)

a bicep hack against the hook would be a perfect set up to a knee strike to the cut followed by the puter kepala.
