I went full chop and got the pixie cut! I loved it and got a lot of compliments on it, but they’re a lot of maintenance and I missed my longer hair so I’m in the process of growing that back out. My gray is growing in a lot like yours, I have many strands of white on naturally dark hair, more so in the front and on the sides. Love your videos! You’ve been a big motivation to me to keep going with the gray grow out!

I'm 35 and stopped coloring my hair 1.5 years ago! For about 6-8 months leading up to my last hair appt, my hairdresser worked on gray blending with lots and lots of highlights. Once I felt that I had a decent blend between my roots and dye, I just stopped coloring all together! The gray blending was pricey, especially because I'm in the Boston area. Not to sound dramatic, but this has been one of the most liberating experiences of my life! 👏🏻 I LOVE my gray! I'll have my first cut in about a month from now and I can't wait to lose a lot of the old color!

Your hair looks amazing! I’m a few months into my cold turkey journey, age 54. I have naturally wavy hair, so I’m letting the sun and salt water fade my old box color, and hoping the curls help blend it in. Feeling pretty self conscious when I look in the mirror.

It sounds like you have a great plan! Stick with it!! You will be so glad you did!! The hard stage won’t last forever. You’ll have many more years than not with your beautiful gray!

Thanks for sharing. I am getting ready to do the same. Am so sick and tried of the forever young expectations us women face.

I’m 44 and I am tired of dying my hair. I went grey at the end of my twenties. I am more white than grey. To be honest I am afraid of the impact at work and at the same time I don’t care it’s weird. I want but I am afraid 😂

You can do it!! It’s so freeing. It really is. It’s ok to be the age you are. It’s your life. Don’t worry about what others think. 🤍

Watching this and seeing previous photographs of you with coloured hair, then watching you speaking; you look younger presently then you look in the previous photographs.

I’m 44 too and only 4 months into this. Before, I never thought I could stop coloring. I work in a courtroom and literally feel like I’m on public display everyday. But I got to the point where I had to try to not care what it looks like as it grows. Give it 3 months and it will suddenly become easier. The demarcation line will magically look better as the hair grows at different speeds. And I use little baby jaw clips to pull back the front pieces and it looks sort of cool with the dyed hair mixing in with the gray. Someone asked me the other day if I had it blended and I said no, cold turkey. I also saw this attorney that was growing out her gray hair last year. It looked soooo bad because her dyed hair was black black. I hadn’t seen her for a while until last week and her hair was absolutely stunning. I couldn’t believe how she went from this ugly black dyed hair to a beautiful silver mane. She’s my inspiration. She saw it through to the end and turned into a supermodel! Just try to look at the finish line. The awkwardness will be worth it! I’m already so happy at only 4 months!
