I bleached my hair to blonde in December. I've been growing my natural dark gray since. It's very soft and shiny. I can't wait until it's all fully gray.❤

Sounds like what I did! I found it definitely helped me with my grow out!! My the end I was so happy to have cut off the last of the blonde!!

I have been fully transitioned since Dec.2022. I don't regret it. My hair is ever evolving.... It is salt and pepper but I am looking forward to more silver. Your hair is beautiful! You look so youthful.

The transition is such a great journey!!!

You are so right. I ran into someone I used to work with and asked her to help me be accountable about going gray. I had just started my transition at about 4 weeks. And I thought the more people I told, the more I would be strong and continue. She said not to because it would make me look older. (I am, at 56 😀) As I replayed that conversation, it made me realize that the only person I am accountable to, is me. So I have stopped doing that and just continued on my journey. I’m at 6 months. I’m liking it very much. Thanks for your videos and shorts, I look forward to them. You look beautiful!! Take care.

I am about 5 1/2 months in to my grow out. I opted to do the natural grow out. Im 55, I just want the freedom to be me now. I'm embracing aging all the way and am so looking towards the next cycle in life.

You look young, your hair is fabulous. My hair is One year Silversary. I admit, it is kinda weird but all dark is too harsh for my skin. I do the side ponytail or braid and trim ends. The left side is down to my waist and the right is nipple length so the curly ponytail ends mid chest. I also have the dreaded grey frizz on wash day. I can go over a week without washing. My mom is 78 and doesn’t have much more grey than when she was 60. It it sooooo thick too. I have maybe 1/3 less hair at 59.

Hi Amanda I have subscribed for a while but never commented I blended my hair when I was 14 have been nearly every colour possible since then , I am now 76 and stopped colouring my curly hair last October, it’s a disgusting orange colour on the ends at the moment but I’m excited to see my beautiful silver grey hair will be a few more months my hairdresser tells me. Your hair is beautiful 💕💕

Hello Margaret!! ( that’s my middle name and what my husband calls me) wow!! I am sure your hair will feel so much healthier now too!! Thx for subscribing in the early stages of me being on here and love that you left a comment!!

With beyond shoulder length hair it took a full year to grow out my colored/blonde hair. I save over $200 mo and no monthly appt to work around. Do I look older; maybe-but I am 63. Hair alone does not make one look old. Style, skin condition, physical movement, etc. In my opinion…women often look older with darkly dyed hair after 60+. Question: going grey has changed the colors that work best for me. Have you had this change? This has been a little hard for me to adjust to & identify the best wardrobe. Love your outfit! Super cute and flattering.

Love your comments!! I agree with you on all fronts! Yes, I can no longer wear browns and creams! I still to true white and jewel colours when I can! I still like black too! I added a little bronzer to my makeup and I feel like lip stick is a must now!

Amanda just subscribed, love this journey started 4 months ago. Love the freedom of not being comitted to dying my hair, and keeping up with the roots. By the way you are beautiful with your grey hair, and it's true I don't care what anyone thinks any more

I am now 25 months grown out! It's so exciting to see women younger and younger ditching the dye. I've been looking for your video (i think from last year -- and I cant find it. It's the one where you showed a picture of yourself all dressed up in a navy dress with your hair in an updo. Can you help me find it? I have a wedding coming up and I'd like to get it done like that! thanks!!!

How many months are you ?
@Kbm1988 ай бұрын
About 18 months in from the last highlight treatment. It was difficult to deal with the regrowth, but I resisted the urge to color my hair again. I used to bleach my hair. Now my hair is on better condition than ever.

Zombie mode. So true and even worse when it was absolutely gorgeous out and you were stuck in the chair for a few hours on a Saturday and had been stuck inside all week for work and then when it was so hot and getting the new coloring job you just spent a lot of money on wet with pool water was frowned upon. I hated all of it. Free of all of that now. 😊🎉

I was doing ok w/ going gray/ white. But, now I’m fighting the brass yellow. I’ve tried everything. Low heat, hats in sun, it makes the gray hair hard to deal with. Help!!
@amandasilversister2 ай бұрын
Have you tired any purple shampoo?
@sarahtyler37382 ай бұрын
Yes, several kinds. Don’t work well. Don’t cover blonde. Seems like only semi permanent silver color will cover but doesn’t stay long. I was only 1-2 x week. I really have tried everything. I have lots of white. It seems to stay pretty silver ok. Thank you for your reply. Yours is very pretty.
@amandasilversister2 ай бұрын
@@sarahtyler3738okay so if you have hard water where you live I highly recommend a water filter for your shower as it could be that or adding in a clarifying shampoo daily to remove any build up…. That may help! Then keep doing all the things you have been doing!
