Mono Lake looks stunning! Never heard of this place until now and it’s now on our list. Great video and explanation!

So cool to see the tufa spires from the water! Just setting our truck up with a kayak rack, so putting kayaking here on my list. Have you been to Trona Pinnacles? Tufa spires, but all in a dry lake bed - awesome - we camped there a few years ago for a couple of nights.

It is a super unique way to see them. Just be careful for the ones hiding just under the water. You could get high centered or scratch up your kayak. We haven't hit Trona Pinnacles just yet but it is high on the list! Do you have a video from that trip?

Yikes! 250 feet is the clearance for Ospreys! These must be some kind of California pampered birds. In Mexico they nest on every available power pole and they are perfectly happy to be there.

They must be! We don't make the rules though 😊

Is the water safe to swim in

Yes it is. It is very salty though. Be sure to Keep it out of eyes and cuts, it will burn. I took a swim in it and it is pretty fun because you are extra buoyant.

Inflatable kayaks not recommended hahaha, the tufas are sharp
