Hi, you mentioned that coach D is the front, so that's where the driver is, so if you were to take seats 1 to 8 you will be facing the front? And is the seating arrangement the same with the other coaches as well?..and which seat no.is best to take without any window gaps, that is, you get a wide view? Your response is much appreciated. Hi. I only see coach A and B actually. So can’t confirm on coach D. But it should be the same. Yes seat 1-8 will be facing the front. The best seat is 6 and 8. Where 6AB/8AB no direct sun. And 6CD/8CD has direct sunlight. Hope you enjoy your train ride 😀

Hi, I'm aware that the train from JB Sentral to Kluang is 8.30. May i know what time you took the bus from Woodlands get to JB etc, time taken to get to railway station that's safe to catch, and the bus you took,? Thanks! Not very familiar and unsure about time for bus. Also booking online train tix vs whether crowd if book at office)

Hi. Usually i took bus 950 from woodlands around 6.50-7am. And reach ticket counter by 7.50-8am. I travel on weekday and I checked on the ktmb online beforehand to make sure there are seats available on the train, so i just bought it on the counter. And the first train is 8.30am i just wanna be safe that im already in JB side by that time otherwise my ticket will be void if i miss the train, because we cant predict how long we will be queuing at JB immigration.

@engkino No, 950 going to bus normal checkpoint only. Take 911 from woodlands interchange that write “woodlands train checkpoint”. Or 856 from woodlands int or opposite marsiling mrt.

Hi, I think if you want to take train now they only serve online ticketing purchase. So you can download their apps and register with your passport and buy the train ticket from there. Otherwise going Kluang by bus. 😬

(1) May I Know, during the 1 hour break at Mengkibol Station (waiting for other train to pass) , are we allow to alight & switch to take Grab to continue our destination? (2) If I am going to Kluang Mall , it should be worth to take Grab from here to Kluang Mall, which might cost < 60MYR ? (3) Is it to say that if I am stopping at Kluang Station, any train slot I take will still have to stop at Mengkibol Station?

Sorry I don’t have the answer for questions. But I get the conclusion it’s better for you to take bus rather than train. Kluang mall is nearer from Kluang bus terminal 😬 But if you persist to take train, I think you will be waiting at mengkibol station as well until they finish the new railway.

It's complicated to get a simple train ticket to Kluang from Johor baru sentral Station. I used ti buy with cash and an identity or passport. Now the train ticket seller said I have to go elsewhere to got some option or permission , however I dun know whereabouts?

Hi.. thanks for watching. You can book online or using ticketing machines near the counter. We just booked at the ticketing counter at JB Sentral. I can say it’s quite safe. There were some people traveling alone at that time.

Can.. but traditional taxis are waiting for you in the arrival area. You can just reject them if you want to use grab.

Yes I bought in the morning on the day I travelled. Just make sure there’s a seat (you can check online), and arrived at jb sentral before 8am. Because first train is 8.30am.
