@KarlLatham4 жыл бұрын
@@JohnDoe-sp3dc why do you say this is a shitty program? I spent a week in customer support with StreamYard, the support was fast, but a bit condescending until I was kicked up to 'supervisors", I spent two solid days trying to A/B this against other platforms and in the end the ease of use did not outweigh the degraded audio/video quality.. I would not say it is "shitty" I would said convenient but very limited, if you do not require high quality audio and are not concerned about some degraded video, this is a very easy fast solution...needless to say I am trying to work in OBS now

@may_media4 жыл бұрын
OBS is awsome software. Admittedly, it is a bit technical for the lay person. There is a balance between features and simplicity and StreamYard has acheived that balance. I am recommending StreamYard to my non-techie web clients that want to present to an audience.
@griffbros50304 жыл бұрын
You can livestream games but, StreamYard is not made for gaming which means when you screen share, it is not optimised for gaming. You can have a face cam if you want but if you only want audio then solo layout the screen share. Again, it’s not made for gaming but it is possible.

I could really use some help; I'm a solo artist who was planning to do some live gigs this year, but that's been delayed because of this whole "pandemic", so I'm looking to live stream some musical performances instead. Basically, all I want to do is run a backing track and be able to play electric guitar and sing along with it. I'm running the backing tracks in Logic Pro; My guitar is plugged into my audio interface, which is plugged into my Macbook Pro via firewire. I'd like to use the virtual guitar amps in Logic Pro rather than having to mic up a real amp/cab. The problem is that whenever I do test streams, the recorded audio is the direct signal from the guitar BEFORE it goes through the amp, so you can't here the backing track or the proper guitar tone. I imagine this would be fine for vocals since I'll be singing into a mic, but for the music I need the output of Logic Pro. I can hear the music during tests, but it isn't recorded for the play back. Any help would be greatly appreciated; I'm sure there are many other musicians who could benefit from this as well!
@JerryCastaldo_NYC4 жыл бұрын
Quincy Kane Morris I noticed you didn’t have any replies, probably because no one here had any ideas. Personally, I think you should mic your voice and mic your guitar externally, no direct to the computer so that you have the proper balance that you want with both the vocals and the guitar. And then if you feed it through the room into a high-quality mic in a room that isn’t that reverberant, that would sound great. Going direct into the computer might sound too sterile and unmixed. I’m going to experiment this with this myself soon.

All great info, THANK YOU! Can you refer me to a video with using an external camera (Canon XA11) for live streaming with stream yard
@StreamYard3 жыл бұрын
Great question. For the Canon, they offer a webcam utility. It works with some of their models. You could use this, instead of a capture card, which you typically need with a DSLR camera. See if your camera is supported here: www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/self-help-center/eos-webcam-utility If it isn't, you'll need a capture card. Here are some recommendations. streamyard.com/blog/live-streaming-equipment/best-capture-cards-for-live-streaming/ Once you have this, just connect your camera to your computer. In StreamYard, you then just need to switch to your Canon camera under Cam/Mic and then Video. More on using your DSLR camera can be found here: support.streamyard.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043733371-I-have-a-DSLR-can-I-use-it-with-StreamYard- Does this answer your question? To add web links, you can create a banner. Just know that the links cannot be clicked. This is because of what the social platforms allow access to. My approach is to create a banner with an easy to remember URL, and then share the link in comments, so that it becomes clickable on the platform. Christian Karasiewicz 🦆
