Because Science The hair color change can’t realistically work as hair isn’t living and has a set amount of melanin once the follicle leaves the root. An in show explanation could be that their hair is alive and able to change the amount of melanin for these different forms with something in the Saiyan gene. Their hair is said to be genetically different in the show as well.

And as for this lightning. That's only a constant factor in Super Saiyan 2 and higher. It can happen in normal Super Saiyan as well but that only happens for short bursts whenever they're using a seriously high amount of energy at once. Hence it's rather abnormal to see in the normal variation of Super Saiyan.

With the exception of going Super Sayin how you explained it works for the rest of the Z crew. The ion wind effect that you explained was demonstrated when Gohan was teaching Videl how to fly. Our understanding of science does not work for this show as we cannot explain how so much energy comes from nothing. Well, Mach 20 means that he is travelling 20 times the speed of the molecules in the air. They will look like they are standing still while he rams through them like a bullet between raindrops. The air is compressed in front of him. When he stops moving, the compressed air relaxes. This is also called an explosion.

Flight and energy blasts has nothing to do with Super Saiyan, regular humans like Krillin can do it no problem. However, what you could say is that all of the ki-manipulating people doing these things are making use of your electricity-based ideas, with Super Saiyan just being a massive increase in said electric power, causing the air around them to ionize and change their color, and allowing them to use more energy to fly and make blasts and such.

Much more scary is that in the show we saw the moon explode very fast, at ~1 lunar radius per second, that would be ~1500-1700x the moons orbital velocity, even if just 1% of the moons mass hit earth at that speed it would hit like a quadrillion Tsar Bomba, probably remelting significant parts of the crust.

If it were fractured, it would maintain a moon-like shape due to the massive gravitational forces on it. If it were completely obliterated.. well that's a different store. We'd still have Solar tides but those are a fraction of what's required to maintain oceanic life. The moon is basically the heart of the ocean.. pumping the water around mixing nutrients and life between various pools of the world in a system that developed over the entire life cycle of the planet. It also protects us from some of the larger meteor strikes..it would add to them now in a giant, randomly spewing ring of meteors around the planet. The earth shaped itself around the balance of the moon's gravitational pull.. removing that would cause a serious issue. We're basically a giant centrifuge with a moon counterbalance.. the destabilization would not be pretty. And those are just the things that can be predicted with given knowledge now. Each of those and millions of other factors branch off into an unknowably infinite pattern of events.

I am unsure how large the destabilisation factor would actually be. No education in marine biology, so no idea what would happen there. If we just blow it up (and a reasonable speed, not the speed seen in the show) earth would get a ring, that would slowly decay in radius due to collisions in the ring and tidal forces.

Barry Bend Even before Goku was taught the Kaioken technique, he was able to fly. Goku would choose the Flying Nimbus because it could fly way faster than he could and it would use less energy.

There are many examples of people exhibiting super human strength for short periods of time(because it burns so much energy up, and has a large risk of self injury), and because it's an uncontrolled super fight/flight response . If humans could find a way to control this mode of being, you could conceivably do it for many minutes at a time... I think that's why Goku eats so much when training, to replenish all that lost energy. Regular sized Humans would need to eat like super obese people do to be able to do it regularly without fear of over-energy burn. Examples are obviously anecdotal hearsay because 1 society won't sanction the necessary conditions to illicit a Super-Human response in a Scientific Study. I'd like to learn to use the Super Human State. The risks in learning such a technique of existence are too great.
