In this video I demonstrating how you can use the ClearClick video 2 digital 2.0 to go tapeless with your analog video cameras. For anyone who's camera wont play, record, or rewind tapes etc. this is the video for you. Or if you just want the ease of using SD cards with analog cameras this is a great way to do so. I will have links to stuff I mention in the video below.

I recommend buying an S video cable. Those cheap cables don't last. I spent around $20 on the s video cable and it has made a night and day difference, totally worth it to get high quality cables if you are doing anything analog.

So you can use AV cables for the audio. Just make sure you only have the red and white cable plugged in since those are your left and right audio cables. You can buy just the audio cables as well. 2-1 audio cable: amzn.to/356bxcB Double sided audio cable: amzn.to/3p9Udds

You should look into vintage or new old stock DTE units. Some of them are hard disk drive but if you're lucky, you can find one that takes CF cards. You get DV-out quality instead of just recording off RCA which degrades the audio and video. I know from experience using ClearClick 2.0 with a vintage Sony VX-1000.

@brandoncameracollection
@brandoncameracollection 2 жыл бұрын
No cause my gl1 does it as well but I’ve had other cameras not do it so I want to say it’s something with with camcorders that have the 3.5mm av port on them. Any other camera that has the full yellow white and red av ports it doesn’t do it. I’m not sure why it works that way it could possibly be damaged or dirty on the inside. But if you use adobe premier pro you can revert the footage back to left and right pretty easy.

does this work for a sony dcr trv 900 ?
@brandoncameracollection
@brandoncameracollection Жыл бұрын
Yes but I definitely recommend getting a filming handle to make holding the camera a little easier and you can wrap the cables around the handle to get them more out of the way.

@@brandoncameracollection okay cool i have one of those , also wanted to know what cord you used to plug into the power bank and the clearclick (at 6:35), and my camera has a s/video port similar to the one at (8:47) so would i have to buy the s-video/avcable in one ?
@brandoncameracollection
@brandoncameracollection Жыл бұрын
The power cord is just a micro USB cable and if you use s-video you have to use the audio cables from the av cable sins s-video doesn’t have audio

You have to use the remote that the camera comes with unfortunately. But not all camcorders are this way mostly just the xl1 and gl1
