Please please, don't go away for so long! Looking forward for your magical tips with examples! And also, can you make videos about difference among 3,4 and 5 act structures. And why the 2 act of 3 act structure is so difficult to write? Thanks a lot! p.s. I've learned about 4 act structure, it works very good in tv series. But I'd like to know your opinion about it.

Thank you, thank you your comment it's very moving! I'll try to post more often! And yes, I intend on making a video about the various act structures and 5 act. To answer your question about 4 acts, I'd like to tell you that what we call 3-act structure is in fact 4 acts. If you like you can watch the video about midpoint, where I explain it. It feels like there's something a little missing from this video. The dramatic question as framed in your explanation is a 'plot question'. Not a story one. I always thought the dramatic question was associated with the 'theme' of the story. Like Chernobyl 'What is the cost of lies?' feels like it has thematic resonance rather than simply 'will he get the girl?' Am I missing something?

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to clarify this. The dramatic question is different from the thematic question. The dramatic question is just "the basics". It is about the story plot. However, many aspiring writers forget to incorporate such a question that will hold the viewer's attention. The thematic question, on the other hand, is more philosophical, not concerned with keeping the viewer's interest during the movie, yet when answered at the end of the film, it gives a sense of completion and catharsis to the viewer.

*But what happens in the Middle between beginning and end (answering of the dramatic question) that keeps the viewer wanting to hear the answer rather than giving up on the whole idea of watching the movie ؟*

Hello, of course, there are plenty of things that should be done correctly in order to keep the viewer. But many aspiring screenwriters tend to forget this one basic but important thing, the dramatic question. If in the middle the screenplay forgets the goal that the dramatic question has posed then it will probably lose the viewer's attention. I'll try to make a video about the middle. However you can watch my video on the midpoint where I am explaining that it has to raise the stakes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hH-wdXt5drqXarM
