That's a very clever tool and easy replicated for other bigger bearings that aren't catered for, thanks for posting

Tiger tool waaay better, just have to remove hub not whole front end. Grease it with axle in place. Alot less work, end result same which is most important i guess..

Does it matter if I use regular Polaris purple grease? I have some left and didn’t want to buy more lol but I will if it’s not recommend. Thanks
@BustedKnuckleVideo5 жыл бұрын
it does not, I used WD40 grease, a good high temp or marine grease is suggested

he's talking about the aluminum rod sticking out a foot below your grease gun why do you have it pulled out? push the rod back in. most people don't use a grease gun with the plunger pulled out the whole time lol.....great product by the way.. keep up the good videos

The hub just slides right off... Yours did!! Mine will not slide off... What is going on with mine and how do I get this thing off? I bought one of those bearing greasers but it's useless if I can't get the hub with the brake disc off... I've tapped on the axle and drove it in and its loose but the hub is still attached to the knuckle and won't come off..
@BustedKnuckleVideo7 жыл бұрын
could be seized up, I've never had one not just come right off

Did you ever get your off? Same issue with both rear hubs on my 2016 xp4 1k
@keneofugotti49577 жыл бұрын
yes... I was about to give up.. So i decided to take the whole hub assembly off and take into the mechanics at work.. Before i took it off though i heated it up with a torch and sprayed PB Blaster around it.. Still couldnt get it loose.. So when i took the whole assembly off i was looking how they went together and noticed a small lip around the bearing area.. (gotta look real close) so i decided to use one of those mini crow bars and the long end fit perfect on that lip... So i just kept applying pressure gently back and forth and felt movement so about 2 minutes later it just fell off... One thing i did also was while i was working on the hub i took some big nuts and put over the wheel studs and put my lug nuts back on so i wouldnt damage them... Now onto the front... I already know one of them isnt coming off.. I tried already but i have a 4 wheelin trip coming up tuesday and don't want to screw something up...

Ken Fugotti Thanks for the detailed reply. I'll keep working at it. Nothing close to how it slides of in the video so far
@azSeanG7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. Both my rear hubs ended up being really stuck on. Ended up having a rzr mechanic friend come over. Using a mallet and rotating the hub we were able to knock both of them off, definitely took some effort though. The other method another friend who owns a race shop suggested was to thread the axle nut on 5 threads or so, grab the brake rotor with both and and pull it towards you and have someone else hit that nut with a mallet. We never tried that method and got it done fine by knocking it loose from behind the brake rotor.

You bought the wrong greaser tool. There is one that slides over the axle in place and have the disassemble required.
@BustedKnuckleVideo4 жыл бұрын
yeah they didn't make those back when this video was made
