with all the talk of lubing, inserting, and bushes I almost forgot this was a suspension video... 😅 sometimes you reach a point where you say that's enough YT for today... this, fortunately, was not one of those times... 👍🏾

Do you need to relubricate these ever? My sway bar instructions indicated they would need regreasing from time to time, but I would prefer not to take the brackets apart all the time if I don't have to.

What about with 4WDs that will go through dust and mud - will the mud or dust enter the bushing when it flexes and essentially attach to the grease and turn into grinding paste?
@osnaldov2 жыл бұрын
agreed only enough for assembly. clean clean clean. but like he said the assembly is for a Dunny door so its going to breakdow anyway not as badly as a Found On a Rubbish Dump.

Where can you purchase the super pro silicone based grease. Is it superior to lithium based grease on poly bushes?
@Doviruses.existbaileyonodysee4 ай бұрын
a polybush uk site said something along the lines of you can just use a bit of dish soap during assembly and not use any kind of grease🤔.

As a mining and rail service tech there are rubber components that must never touch rubber components. I guess this is not really a grease but an assembly paste. Ensuring that areas with grease must not be exposed to the air as this can hold road grit and this can act like sand paper and chew the rubber and remove the coating on the metal component. most of our rubber components have a 10 to 12 year warranty or 2 million kilometres. the rubber usually becomes hard rather than be chew away. because of our procedure.

Polyurethane is a type of plastic not rubber, otherwise what you said is spot on.

what about steering rack bushings that are made to keep the rack in place? can't grease those otherwise it'll slide side to side and throw off your steering.. energy suspension bushings don't come with grease for steering rack applications, but superpro's do?

There is mixed opinions on lubricating the outside of a cotton reel control arm bush. You recommend lubricating it I take it from the video? I thought the outside of the bush was supposed to stay fixed to the housing and the pivot point is the inside of the bush against the crush tube?
@SuperProSuspensionParts4 жыл бұрын
If you don’t lube the outside of the bush you will not get it in easily and yes it pivots on the crush tube.

@@SuperProSuspensionParts is it possible to make a video about your castor correction kit.how to determine the position of the Bush or do you provide a template for example for the specific vehicle. I was thinking one of your kits for my jimny with 2 inch lift.

Lubrication all bush surfaces coming in contact with metal concerns POLYURETHANE bushings. Not sure if common rubber bushings are also to be lubed.
