wow! thanks for putting this up I can't believe I am only seeing it now! I always thought my rig should be able to pull off better FPS than it was, even though it has been pretty good. So... disabling these processes and services won't affect other day to day PC use? (I am directly connected to the internet so I know the SSID discovery type stuff shouldn't matter. But if the computer is ALSO used for day to day tasks and browsing, these alterations generally don't affect day to day usage??

No, try rebooting. You can also put everything back and try GameBooster software instead. I made a video about that too.

By disabling services and process from starting you are saving them from taking a hold of your memory so by having more memory available, your system will automatically become faster. Basically not every service and process needs to run on every computer. Computer geeks always tweak their operating system to reduce the impact these processes have on memory and CPU cycles.

umm type in the search were the windows logo is in your taskbar is it's on the lower left hand of the screen when you hit the logo it load up programs that you have installed there be a blank space slightly above that windows logo type MSconfig. and i suggest strongly don't disable any thing with MS windows or any thing with your video card just other programs like real player and so forth disable them. and so forth.

I told a friend to check KZbin for some solutions to help improve the performance of his box. However, this video is helpful IF you know what you are disabling and what it affects. I would not recommend going through and disabling everything listed here. Some services could be required for certain applications to run. Although It takes much longer, I would research any service before stopping it, Otherwise, you may end up with some or a lot of issues with the computer not running correctly.

Yes it will help although 16GB of RAM is overkill for games, 12GB is like the max a game will use the only other RAM it will use is the RAM on your graphics card.

You should have stated in the beginning of the video, that this was a improvement on the CPU and RAM, so if the GPU was the source of a supposed bottleneck, this would not change the fps. Of course experienced users will quickly realize which components this change will effect. I just thought it would've been nice to state from the beginning of the video ^^ Anyways, thanks.

Hmmm. I was hoping to leave my windows on windows 7. Looks better. Not the XP/windows 98 background version. But if putting that to adjust for best performance improves FPS alot, and the quality stays the same, then i guess thats the best thing to do

Ok so I followed the instructions in the vid perfectly and my laptop made a great improvement in performance, which is really great thanks a lot. the only problem is that after a while my laptop keeps crashing every single time (mostly when I use an application even though I was only using one application when the crash occurred). I can't put the finger on the problem, i used adavanced system care 7, msconfig and did most things to speed up my pc, i had windows xp then, i upgraded to windows 7 32 bit, and now i have lag in my gaming, although the lag only occurs if more people joined the gaming room, so the more people the more lag, is there anything i can do to resolve this?

I play R6 with GTX 1050ti 4GB, i3-4130 and 16GB ram. My Framerates become choppy as fk when i follow the setting on this video my game become less choppy and some of it improve a little bit and try Overwatch from 50-75 fps now I get 120+fps. No random frame stuck

I mean... It helped? None of my games except beta minecraft are playing still, but it helped?? I could probably get my parents to buy me a graphics card or maybe a tower to hook up to my ducktaped up laptop on my birthday, but i have no clue how to do ANY of that. All i can do is sit around and wish that a beefy desktop computer will fall out of the sky and replace my laptop with the monitor attached by a single wire on my wobbly three- legged table. Phew, let me rest my fingers for a bit XD just had to vent but now i feel better :)

Sounds like you are turning off a process that deals with your wifi card or internet connection. Usually processes have a name that can clue you in on what program the process is. EXAMPLE: If you wanted to keep Adobe Illustrator Open don't kill processes with the Word "Adobe or Ilustrator". Use that WISDOM to SOLVE your wifi PROBLEM. #Wifi #overclocking #gamingpc
