@FreeSpirit9010 жыл бұрын
JakeBell Can you explain to me in detail why I can't?
@JakeBellFilms10 жыл бұрын
Well basically, Ram Is a Physical Object Inside Of Your PC/Laptop, And CPU cores are the amount of cores in Your Processor (CPU) So, Unless You Want To Upgrade Your PC By, Actually Buying New Parts (E.g Ram Or a New Cpu) Thats Kind of Impossible, And If With Multiple Core Processors You Can Idle Cores, With My PC I Have a AMD FX-4350 Quad Core Processor @ 4.2Ghz I Could Probably Idle Some Of My Cores When I'm Say Editing a Video, But I Have No Idea How to Do That, And I Wouldn't Recommend Trying To Download "More Ram" Because Its Either A Scam, Or Some Type Of Virus

Run disk defrag once or twice a month along with disk cleanup, don't install crappy registry cleaners that do more harm than good over time, re-format windows once every year or two, and if you can buy/build a new pc... Most of these tweaks will offer minimal to no performance increase with some at the cost of overall system stability. If your computer is high usage from especially default things like explorer.exe then either A. you have a virus of some sort OR B. you have hardware problems from faulty mobo, to faulty cpu, overheating, etc OR C. more likely, you just have a REALLY shit/old system. And finally, system idle process at 90-99% doesn't mean your cpu is being used for no apparent reason, it just means that's the amount of cpu usage reserved.

I wanted to critique this video a bit but after watching the entire video, I realize this is more of a beginners how to. If your still interested, I have some points below. When freshly logging onto your desktop, try to allow 7-10mins for Windows 7 to use virtual memory/page file appropriately and for all your unnecessary services to stop. There may be a solid 3-5mins of 0% Processor load during this time. Becoming comfortable with the entire "Services" management console can help you in the long run. Just as an example, I managed down to 190 threads vs your 450? thread count and 60MB of Ram (93 page file)(3638 Handles) vs your 1.68GB of ram. A properly small page file will stay, without swapping when gaming, meaning I would have all but 60mb of ram available while gaming This is with explorer.exe, audio, networking etc. Everything needed for online gaming running. This isn't my best, just the only thing I have a screen shot of (From last year) (explorer.exe obviously isnt needed) Also, changes in services should be done in services.msc and not msconfig, msconfig can be misleading as to whether or not your service have truly stopped.

What helped me immensely lately was: - Disabling Core Parking (processor) - Disabling Speedstep and Enhanced States on BIOS (processor) - Disable Windows Search and Superfetch services permanently - Disable Disk Writing Cache (no speed difference and prevents data loss) - Disable all unused devices on device manager - Disable all audio enhancements on advanced audio options - Enable "Vsync always on" at Video card options - Use Chromium browser with Java, Flash and cookies disabled by default (you will have to setup your frequently used sites on first visit, memory usage and processor usage is much lower since done that) My computer was crashing every 18 hours and now it goes for 7 days until I decide to reboot to reset memory use and even browsing the internet much faster

Disabling page file can be dangerous to your windows O/S . Its an error log memory dump in case of BSOD's and other instances. You will have a hard time cracking down the issue if you dont have error logs, Page file memory is basically swap memory, while having an SSD some people say Page file memory it is not needed. However, windows uses page file a little more than you think, Your ram and processor will always communicate back to your hard drive. SSD or not. Other than this, i say this is a very helpful video to others. Which i could recommend to others.

you can check your hidden icons in the bottom right, the little triangle there. see if some of the programs you want to close are listed there and end them from there. also you can follow Tech YES City´s tips here to disable these programs from starting in first place.
