Great question! And I may actually make a video about that now that you mentioned it. My advice would be to talk about it directly before you meet. Something like "Hey, I know we're still in this pandemic thing. I figured I should ask how you feel about social distancing and all that?" Something as simple as that can get the conversation started and if the answer isn't clear, you can ask about specific things like masks, physical contact, distancing, etc. If there are significant issues, you may want to alter the type or format of the date.

I’d say don’t hug at all! As a woman just being witty and break the tension of meeting with a pleasant smile and saying the persons name is a perfect way to break tension...we as women know that hugging a man and allowing that contact can send his mental and emotional state into a tizzy!! I did that on a first date from an app..and omg...he turned out to be a grooming love bombing nightmare! And he texted me at the crack of dawn and never stopped...we ended up arguing because I called out his very rushed behavior, and he said “I was rushing because I immediately became enamored with you”, and said he assumed I felt that way because I hugged him.. so some advise I see on people’s vids can be dangerous..so no hugs for me anymore..just a smile and an icebreaker is best..not to mention..he said he thought the date went soo well...he’d hoped for some action! He didn’t look like someone who’d act like that and he was a mature aged male.
