My boss gave me a great advice. She talked about why she purposefully got a roundtable for her office. It was because she could choose witch angle she could face people when sitting down. If it was an interview or any form of pressure testing conversations she would sit at her desk facing the person she talked to directly. But in most cases she would sit down at the round table at an angle to make it more relaxed. It's a great advice for first dates because sitting directly facing eachother at a restaurant like in the movies or shows can make it too awkward. It's better to either just go for a walk and talk or sit at a coffee bar where you naturally have to turn your heads to look at eachother.
@00dfm003 жыл бұрын
For restaurants, I always reserve a booth or a place at the end of the bar so we can sit next to each other. More casual and it makes it so much more natural for light physical contact.
@tricky92x3 жыл бұрын
This is great advice. Sitting across from each other actually builds intensity, and a woman will start to feel unsafe as the intensity rises. This goes against a woman's natural instinct to find a man that makes her feel safe. I always try to avoid sitting directly across from a first date.

Great job! That was a refreshing list of ideas. It makes me smile because they remind me of some pleasant memories when I first starting dating someone. There was no grand plan. It was just casual, spontaneous, and convenient. 1st date) We took our dogs with us to a dog park and then afterwards we grabbed take-out from a restaurant to have a picnic. 2nd date) We started off at a Farmer’s market and then continued the date in a public garden. Again both places allowed us to bring our puppies. Fast forward to today, my wife and I have been happily married for many years, and while they are no longer puppies, our dogs are also still in love.

My best first date from experience, a few weeks at work before you even realize you’re on a date. After about a month of working with my crush my coworker gave me a pep talk to ask her out and when we were on the date I realized, our first date was the entire month we were chit chatting and finding out basic info about her. When we actually went to dinner, it was date number 2. In that month of work we found out each other’s family situation, all about her college, interests, personality etc.

A great option for an active outdoor date is frisbee golf. The courses usually wind through scenic parks which gives you an opportunity to talk about nature. Throwing a frisbee is a great icebreaker and always an adventure! If the date is going well, you can pull the picnic basket out of the trunk to extend the date. So, you get a bunch of options to explore each other's personalities or cut it short if there is no interest. So glad I found your channel the other day. You and your guests have been so enlightening. Keep up the great work!

I always pick coffee or drinks at a bar for first dates. They are pretty inexpensive and have the advantage of being in a public setting. That can help if the girl is worried about meeting me for the first time (lots of people around, but all busy doing their own thing.) Even the ones that don't go any further have all been enjoyable experiences for me. The only tip I would add here is knowing the vibe of the place beforehand, and any events that might be taking place at the location. The last one I went to had a big members night with live prize giveaways, so my date and I could barely hear each other.

So i found a lunch spot for us to go to around 2 and she agreed. We get to the place i orders my drink and she ordered hers. Im drinking and we both looking at food and talking. But for some reason she didn't like the vibe of the bartender and said take the drinks back. It was happy hour so i didn't mind wasting my beer it was only $4. So she says she knows a place. I said ok ill follow you. Her leaving was embarrassing but im like ok these ppl don't know me so it was w.e. then we get to the place she chose its a restaurant she said 2 females said they only served drinks but i seen plates i was like i don't think so. So we get in sit down. The waterss gets us water and im looking at the menu and nothing is less then $40 for food and drinks goes up to $450. I tell her lets go to another place because this is to expensive. She gets mad and wants to leave. So outside im like why you're vibe change. She said she never experienced that. I said im not paying a bill that maybe around $300 for a first date. This supposed to be something light to get to know each other. So she walks off and says lets go our own way. So i said just answer me 1 question. And when you did that at the 1st spot you had no issue walking out and i respected your decision but when im uncomfortable at the 2nd location its a issue. She had no answer and blocked me on phone and social media..smh i dodge one there. Im learning if a chick is that rude to staff then they gonna be a headache

Both people need to be on that same mental wavelength for a long time to keep the conversation going, and if this is someone you haven't really gotten to know well prior to this I think it's more likely to fizzle out (unless you're both REALLY into each other, or the conversation). I think activity based first dates are ultimately the way to go, at least for the start of the date. Conversation-focused activities are great follow-ons, if that went well. The minigolf and museum recommendations are the best here, I think, because it gives everyone something to divert attention to and be engaged with instead of feeling like they need to perform in a conversation. As well, conversations just seem to flow a lot more naturally this way. :)

I met this girl from online yesterday. We live in the same are so we met up at a shopping center. I told her lets go to lunch because it was 9am and i was already getting breakfast. She said ok.

I saw a young woman the first time and subconsciously knew she was my wife. I didn't know her. It was a very strange phenomenon. Remember, dates are BS. Men know their wives when they see her the very first time. I had girlfriends that didn't last and a 10 year marriage with my wife and a daughter who's age 8.

Ehh, some of those are kind of cliché. I think the best one is going to a museum tbh. There’s people around, not to quiet nor too loud. Great to get to know someone. Can you do a video on advice on how to kind of get back into the dating life? I’m 25 and haven’t dated in maybe 4 years. I’ve become really anti social and don’t really like using social media.and the only way for me to meet someone is just by going out but I’m more of a laid back guy who prefers to stay home and watch a movie than going out every weekend....but I feel like I need to get back in it. Help?

ice cream, park, beach, riverside walk, outdoor dining are my favorates. i have tried coffee, brunch, ice cream, park, beach, riverside walk, hike. museum, mini golf, picnic, farmers market, brewery tasting are interesting ideas to try! coffee can goes a little too intense because of the anxiety of silence break, same to brunch. hike is distracting for me as i can focus only on the hiking or conversation lol.

This video is fire! I have done just about all of these and have just about always enjoyed myself regardless if my date wasn't clicking with me. My 1st date with my current gf was at a Museum in the afternoon, dinner, then walk around the park. I'm fairly introverted and don't like noisy and rowdy places like bars so I never picked those types of places on any date. You should always do something that appeals to your interests, especially for guys since girls generally expect the guy to pay on the 1st date.

Breweries can be a good supplement to a bar if you still want to drink while creating conversations, but want something more alive than a sit down restaurant typically is
@aarontimothy11842 жыл бұрын
I find it easier for me on first dates if it involves actively moving around. Sitting idly at a table is just an anxiety enhancer. What is there to talk about? Our interests? What if there's no common ground? It's hard to improvise and come up with questions on the spot and ends up with this "buying time" mentality because I don't want to be rude and end the date. Bowling is a great first date idea, or the arcade. Not too expensive but it's active and just flat out fun! I would be disappointed if she didn't enjoy arcades.

With women coming out admitting they create dating profiles for only attention or a free meal. I will never again spend a ton of money on a first date. I'll offer getting coffee/tea so we can talk or a not so expensive place to eat and if they don't like that then too bad for them I'm not going to waste my valuable time.

Master of the late responses! One of my best first dates was at a set of locks that had a really nice park and trail as well as a little café. We did not go the distance but it was a great day, and the date ended late evening at the same location. She was a great girl, we were just not for each other. My next first date was at a city park, that was awesome because the date was hellacious and when the walk was done, the date ended.

While I agree that a coffee date is an excellent idea (Coffee is life and we all know this!), the most enjoyable first dates I've had were Pizza In The Park. Of course, this relies heavily on her liking pizza, too. Duh. But, really, any "easy" food (pizza, asian take-out, etc. etc.) that you both like will work on a getting-to-know-each-other, low key kinda first date.

One thing to add as far as outdoor dates - you don't want it to be TOO warm out either. Sweating profusely when its over 90F would be nasty and not particularly sexy. Of course I recall you mentioning you are based in Cleveland, where winters are nasty cold, but summers are really pleasant and usually don't get too brutal. Spring and fall in most parts of the country are often the best.

I find getting outside for something simple like a walk around a park then a drink/ coffee. I love sports so I try to get them into it, like sailing, rock climbing, cycling. But if she’s not into it, something like swimming/ hiking are great options.

Totally agree Courtney, I think the club idea is a horrible first date idea. I’ve found going to a local pub or a dive bar can be fun because some of them have pool or darts. They tend to be a more quiet spot.

ever since i discover girls when coming of age, i was a big failure. until my 20s that i realized, i was doing everything wrong. see, i was always the ones that make the decision on the activities for the first date and second date and by the 3rd date, she's gone. so, in my 20s, i always let the woman make the decision on the first and second date. most of the time, it's always the normal usual things like dinner and movie, or out to a bar and sometime her friends are there, i ain't gonna lie, some of the things on those first and second dates are pretty boring but, i always try to make the most out of it. plus, it also gives me a chance to get to know her. the 3rd date is when i make the decision. i'll take her to a bondage show, sign her up to get tie up and get whip by me because afterward, i get tie up and she gets to whip me. or i take her to a concert because what better way to tell her you like her by taking her out to see her favorite band play live? or my favorite band play. now in my 40s, i don't have a problem getting laid, just who i want to shag.
@Chris-de2qc3 жыл бұрын
No to anything sit down. It's alot harder for guys to converse with someone for the first time. Do something fun, active and that will illicit high emotions. That will set you apart from all the other first dates. Worst case if no second date is that you did something fun! Instead of walking around aimlessly in a park or museum, I did a scavenger hunt offered online. Some of the challenges involved getting selfies so that brings you together. I have also done an escape room before but that was a second date since it required me to pay for both tickets. The extreme case would be taking a girl skydiving. My friend knew of a guy who always did that and the girls always loved it because of the thrill. He was probably rich but this just gives you an example of a high emotion activity.

I think the whole point is to make a connection with each other. Think of a place where u can talk where money or not too money is involved. A first date can be at a bar where u have "A" drink or two and sit at a table. Ive been to a bar we connected, we lasted for a year. Another we last for 3 years and some change. A park, a lounge area, a cafe. Get that convo goin to where she earns the right for a second date and then u can spend money on her, or not...🤷🏾♂️.
