This change made such a difference in my throw. I was palming the ball before. It took a bit of practice to feel control throwing like this, but I got much more distance and velocity.

Glad it helped. I'm assuming you're a slow pitch player? If so, this is one of my recent slowpitch videos on seven throwing tips: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZ-Ye3qPmqaXbrc

I tried out for high school softball coming out of a co-op/community team and not having proper coaching. I am working my best to get better :) thank you- next tryout I’m definitely going to try gripping with my fingers and not my palm!!

Can you please make a video about different grips by way of palming it holding the ball mostly on the outer part of your hand and fingers
@SnapSoftball3 жыл бұрын
for overhand throwing there really arent different grips, youd never want to palm it. I dont do pitching grips

How do you prevent elbow pain from throwing
@SnapSoftball3 жыл бұрын
there is no formula
@robertmartinez8733 Жыл бұрын
Elbow pain is because of improper throwing. You need to practice proper throwing and exercises for throwing

Will I lose control and/or velocity if I only use 2 fingers?
@SnapSoftball5 жыл бұрын
Depends on your hand size but probably. Even for me - as a baseball player with large hands - three fingers is best for me. But it’s up to you!
