I grow in a 315 square foot pumpkin patch, my larges was 789 pounds. This year I made a video every day and posted on KZbin. July 10th storm of 6 inches of rain in two hours took me out for a personal best this year but I still grew some giants. 🧡🎃🧡 agree with your list!

7. I fog with 7 every time I see a squash borer. Seem to work, no woodchucks here, and I'm right in the middle of my little town. 24' by 36, that's all I got. Man Casper is getting huge. But I only got a couple of weeks left and the powdery mildew is really starting to take hold but I'm treating for it trying to slow it up. Why is this so addictive it's like drugs 😂

@@livingintheprairie1517 thanks! It is a fun hobby for sure. Good tip on the 7. My plant is really starting to look rough. Not sure if it’s just age or a fungus. Front of the plant is good. Rear of the plant near the stump is bad. Season is coming to an end quick!

I've already placed a fogger on my Christmas list for this exact reason. I'm also starting to see signs of powdery mildew. What kind of fogger do you have?

@Giantpumpkinswitheric October 5 is the weigh off. And I do believe my plant is a 136 days old. But an old timer told me it's all up to the sun, nights get shorter and it's like they know. But yes all ready thinking of next year.

@frankies-1389 the cheapest one I could get. Ryobi from Home Depot with a battery pack half gallon works great for me. I wished I had two.

@@livingintheprairie1517 it’s funny. I have a ryobi fogger. I can’t get it to fog for some reason. Any tips? Thanks!

Love your videos and learning a lot. Do you have a video on vine management? I can’t really see the topic from the video list

I thought I saw someone mention prune no the tip of the main to stop the length growth and direct energy to the fruit. Of course now I can’t seem to find anything on that.

@@bella61567 thanks for watching! I do not have a video specifically on vine management but if you are going to train any vines only move in the heat of the day. The vines are way more flexible. If you move them first thing in the morning they will snap very easy
@Giantpumpkinswitheric2 ай бұрын
@@bella61567 some people stop the main vine at the fruit. Other growers keep the main vine growing all season. You want to terminate side vines when they reach about 15 feet
