When you talk about soil temperatures ie 18-22 degrees for warm season grasses. Is this the target aim during the daytime only? Or for the full 24 hours?

Just say the top layer of soil is compacted did you losen the original soil first

Water the grass or lawn before aeration. It will make it easier.

Hey mate. Quality vid appreciate the time. I'm in Goulburn and have what looks like couch or Kentucky bluegrass, and a shitload of weeds. It's now mid spring but still pretty cold in the night/morning. How should I attack the weeds and is it worthwhile reseeding yet??

Usually xn or starter 👍🏼 the difference is in the nutrients

k98k9 yes, if you can wait that long! haha. Too much risk of weeds otherwise. You can do it in the spring , I have always just had problems with paspalum and summergrass germinating in the masses. Love tall fescue! Great for the cooler climates here in Australia.

Gday Ben, I'v been watching your videos for ages, you do a great job. I did a full reno on my front lawn just after Christmas. (im going to do the back as well but i have to do it in stages so the dog has somewhere to play) the new grass has come through nicely but so have the weeds in some spots. even tho i used a granular starter that was supposed to stop weeds during germination. My question is how soon can i apply something to kill the weeds and what should i use?

Hey mate! As soon as you’ve done around 4 mows you can apply broadleaf herbicides!

Iv just brought a new Toro AWD and A new 17inch rover reel mower. Unfortunately this reno hasn't really gone to plan as a timer stuffed up and stay on during the day and washed everything away, now i have broken my color bone so I can't really do much but the good thing about grass is I can fix it haha cheers bro

tehbitterman i made the roller that you see in this video. But I know that toro makes a roller that you can attach to nearly any rotary mower.
