I have two investor cars in my fleet. One thing to be aware of: some states legally require the registered owner to be present when getting a car out of impound. If a guest gets towed and it's your investor's car, it can become quite a headache. I only take on capital investments now, for this and many other reasons.

Now I am being approached to manage dozens of cars for other people, which is a big shift from the original plan. The liability and the accounting are my biggest worries. I'm terrible with 'paperwork type' organization!
