Thank you. Your close-ups of the plant roots and how they grow are really helpful.

Thank you🌸🌸Do you grow them too?

I have a few which are all small ones. There seems to be very little information on how to care for them (unlike for phalaenopsis which I have grown for several years) so I encourage you to show more about how to grow them on youtube!

@@susannayorke6311 Thank you, I'll try to make more videos. You are right, most of the videos are about Phalaenopsis orchids. I also have a video about Paphiopedilums

would you say it likes more or less light than Phalaenopsis?
@AnnasViolets3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it grows in a brighter place than Phalaenopsis, but they do need cooler temperatures at nights

What is your reason to grow them in soil and not bark?
@AnnasViolets3 жыл бұрын
In garden centers near me they are sold in regular soil. You can see from the video, when I take them out of the pot, it's their soil from the garden center. In my experience they have grown in usual potting mix quite well, because it holds water better compared to bark. They will also grow perfectly well in bark too. You may need to water them more frequently though.

I'm confused. if bulb is wrinkly, what does that mean, too dry, or too moist? I saw one in a store, and saw it had wrinkly bulbs, and I thought... "I don't know about that, I better check it out, it might not be salvageable"

If the pseudobulb is wrinkled, it needs watering. However, if it's wrinkled and turning yellow, brown and gets soft, then it's rotting. Also, I have noticed that young pseudobulbs don't get wrinkled easily, why older ones can be wrinkled and be absolutely fine, not necessarily thirsty
