Love these videos because you show us newer folks that you don’t have to be so pretty and dainty to grow these rare plants successfully. Some influencers will have you doubting yourself so much because of how perfect they tell you that you need to be when it’s not even that serious.

Yep! really enjoyed this one. And I totally agree, based on personal experience, that unless parts of the plant is mushy, there is no need for concern. Sometimes, even caloused parts is black in color. But even if submerged in water for a.long time, that part will not soften or soak water. I look forward to your next vid. Good luck!

I'm new to Anthurium (but a 30 yrs plant a holic) - question! To get Anthurium seeds - does it take 2 "parents" to make seeds? And how on earth would you be able to tell male and female plants, or are they both? Do you keep them close to each other to make seeds? Or if you can do it all on one plant, is it hand pollinating, do they do it in thier own? Yeah, I'm super interested in the details!

Springtails and other little soil bugs. They are harmless their could also be an adult fungus gnat crawling around in some footage they are annoying but I've never seen em kill a plant

I always wondered why people are so afraid of mold lol it’s gross but harmless in my experience. I got cheap, moldy putting soil and potted a baby monstera in it. It grew perfectly fine, the roots poked through the drainage holes ignoring all the mold just fine.

Question: do you buy your spag-moss in bulk or just what you need? I heard you don't want to have too much on hand as it can break down, dry out to the point it's no longer viable.
@TechplantChannel
@TechplantChannel Жыл бұрын
It comes dehydrated. I've had some sitting around for over a year. I also re use mine. It ry depends on how many times you will need it. For me since I do a lot of experiments I like having a lot on hand and its cheaper in bulk. I wouldn't worry too much about it breaking down.
