I’m wondering if a little leaf movement might do them some good? I’ve heard even mild wind significantly increases certain auxins involved in supportive/structural cells and generally makes plants a bit sturdier.

I think there's so many wrong information here. Its when at night that plants produce their oxygen. during the day, its starch or sugar that the plants produce..
@TechplantChannel
@TechplantChannel 2 күн бұрын
When plants produce their sugars are starch through photosynthesis oxygen is the byproduct. If you have a link or something that says otherwise I'd be happy to read it.

I have a monstera that’s in poor shape. It’s well alive but there have been times i neglected watering it. I’d like to cut it down and propagate from chunks. Is there a time of year that it’s better to do this? Thank you!

I barely change my water with propagation. It messes with the rooting hormone that the plant makes itself. Unless it’s clearly nasty looking water I don’t change and even at that point I’ll drain some out and add fresh. There’s definitely something going on at a molecular level with the rooting system and not changing the water 💪🏾💪🏾 #teamletitbe

Results from an actual study: The amount of time for the plants to produce your mentioned amount of oxygen is in reality much much longer, and you need about 10 times the amount of plants to be able to actually survive. Plus removal of CO2 is not the same as oxygen production, so multiply your plant numbers again by 9. Yes you do actually need a few thousand plants to be able to survive in a sealed room. Bad news is that the current human population (still growing) is actually consuming oxygen faster than the planet can make it. cars, truck,motorcycle engines, aircraft jet engines, ship engines, ALL combustion engines and coal fired power stations... they are burning more oxygen each day than the planet makes. Think on that. This is real data.

So I have a monstera stem with roots already attached, but no leaves. Can I just plant the stem in some soil because it already has roots? Will it die being in the soil without any leaves to catch the sun for photosynthesis?

Doesn't the water roots sort of slow down the transition to soil. Would it be faster to put straight into soil?

Someone, please help. I have a purple passion plant and did the cutting and had put it water to grow roots. The roots are big and healthy, but every time I try to put it in soil, it starts to droop really badly, like it is going to die. I have waited several days, hoping it gets better and will not take to the soil, so I ended up putting it back I the water and it perks back up. What am I doing wrong?

Awesome leaves, but so many thrips :'( I find that pulverising alcohol 70° every other day works very well to kill them without hurting the plant. its a contact insecticide so you have to do it for long (a month at least) but its the best thing beside systemic pesticides whiche are not authorised in France. Of course try on a dispensable leaf !
