I just planted some of these about 3 days ago, and they're already coming up! I fear that I planted a little late, so I hope they do well. They are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing seed to flower!

Sounds wonderful. If it doesn't get very hot in your area, then you should be able to see the blooms. Stems may need some support in very hot weathers. Wishing you beautiful flowers and thank you so much for your comment!😊

@KhalidEzzahri-i9w I would wait until the winter and frost is over then start. They can not survive cold winters.

ooooh did you drill holes into a small water bottle to make that great watering "can"???
@TowardGarden3 ай бұрын
I just used a push-pin to add holes. You can check my video here where I shared the details: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3rImnVpZt54gNksi=hn4-zgOe47oXUy5t&t=22 . Thank you so much for your comment!

@@TowardGarden I get little weary about microplastics from a lot of water bottles, something to think about, thanks!

@@scottygardens I am not too concerned about watering my plants with a water bottle. But You can go with anything you are comfortable with. thanks.

Do you pinch/prune them at all during the seedling age before they flower ? They’re 4 weeks off the 90 day mark and arnt standing up strong. I’m wondering if they need some support to help stand or some pruning/pinching ?? Any tips?
@TowardGardenАй бұрын
Usually when they are fully grown they might need support, but the seedlings will be ok without that. Plants prefer cool growing conditions. Seedlings are best grown at 60-65°F (16-18°C) day not exceed ing75°F (20°C). High temperatures during plant development can cause weak, spindly stems. Hope this helps and happy growing!

When is the best time to plant Gordita seeds
@TowardGarden2 ай бұрын
Depending on where you live, start seeds 4 weeks before last spring frost date. For mild winters, start Oct.-Feb, for cold winters, start March-may. Hope this helps and thank you for visiting.

Beautiful plants, and thanks for the step by step, but where are the insects?
@TowardGarden8 ай бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it. These flowers usually don't have much problem with pests, but best is monitor plants daily and with the first sign of any pest, try to control them depending on the pest type. Neem oil mix is organic and helps a lot. Hope this helps and thank you so much for your comment!
@imsoy7 ай бұрын
Do you stake them? Growing for first time and I noticed most of them flop. Thanks for the nice tutorial.
@TowardGarden7 ай бұрын
Mature plants may benefit from a support. Specially if temperatures is getting hot during plant development , stems will be weak and spindly. But for seedlings and young plants you don't need to worry, they will get stronger as they grow. Hope this helps and thank you for your comment!

These are the main annual flowers I grow in my front-yard garden in unworked, poor clay soul.. They flower very well at my southern California home. They are various shades of pink but not as white as the variety in the video.
