Manjunath - a successful agriculturalist from Chikkaballapur in Karnataka - believes it is possible to grow high quality grapes without relying on chemicals. And we have reasons to believe him. After all, he has been growing the fruit for more than 40 years while integrating the latest scientific practices with wisdom passed over from previous generations. Grapes found in markets are often regarded unsafe to consume due to high levels of pesticides, but Manjunath hopes to change this impression of his favourite fruit by encouraging more organic practices.

Very knowledgeable man god bless him for doing noble job of producing organic …..Indian agriculture was organic our ancestors were expert that why India was rich in agriculture resource and supported large population throughout history but invasion destroyed the rural area with heavy taxation by invaders Indian taxes enriched Britain. Then colonial power started industrial agriculture becoz of their greed and destroyed the whole world food chain

Grapes were grown in and around Bangalore (Bangalore blue, a table grape) for a while now/ from 1940s. Bangalore weather was supposed to be very good for growing grapes. In the last 20 years, growing grapes have almost disappeared in and around Bangalore, mostly due to the change in climate.
