I plant papaya seeds in containers around February, indoors here in Florida. If i can plant these in these containers and plant them out in April in the ground I would not have any die from transplant.
@GreenPaperProducts3 жыл бұрын
Hey @@nancyfahey7518 we love that spirit! These compostable containers need a particular environment to compost effectively, they need moisture and air and a mix of carbon and nitrogen (browns & greens) to break down properly. Unfortunately, they will not break down if they are simply buried in the ground. You'll want to look for some recycled paper planters for that type of transplanting.

Thank you for these videos, I am finding them very helpful! What temperature and humidity levels do you try to keep the room at?
@PrincetonMicrogreens4 жыл бұрын
This is actually a great question. The room we grow in is suppose to be 72 degrees Fahrenheit, however it gets a bit cold in the winter time where we live, so we have to move the trays farthest from the wall with windows. Sometimes the temperature gets as low as 67 degrees and the greens don't germinate as well. We highly recommend a temperature between 72-78 degrees. As for humidity, the dehumidifier is set to turn on at 40%. Anything over 40% and the greens have trouble staying dry for harvest. This is more important in the warmer months. The colder months not so much.
@nancyfahey75183 жыл бұрын
@@PrincetonMicrogreens thank you. My ac is at 78°. I've had slight mold problems with wheat grass but moved it on a higher shelf where the oscillating fan blows. So far it's good all the way around.

First off, your video is awesome and very informative. Im having trouble with the potential and must be missing something unless you are really at scale. So at $6 per unit looking at the numbers, you got about $20 profit after packaging per tray. 20 trays to a rack gives you $400. Take off soil, seeds, sea water fert. Water, power , equipment, labor, facility i don't see a lot of profit without a ton of racks. Am I missing something?

Fun fact: Plants to not react to green light, so if you want to go in your grow room when the lights are off, you can use a green light, so you don't disturb your plants grow cycle. Great video as always!
