Agreed on the Mephisto recommendation. Forum Stomper is a solid middle of the road fun strain for beginners. It tastes good and has a nice fun time happy effect. Mango Smile is one of the tastiest autos I have ever tried, she is happy fun get stuff done strain. SODK is another upbeat Sativa leaning strain, Marley's grin is Mango Smile and SODK combined. Creme de la Chem is more of a high THC pain relief strain. Double Grape is another tasty treat on the stony couch lock side. I could go on and on, but the Dr is not wrong, you can't go wrong with any of Mephisto's offerings.

The Mango Smile is some tasty dank…. The Mephistos Wedding might be the best I’ve grown from their catalog… going earthboxs with Mephisto and ethos again as all the flower from both were super terpy & frosted

@@sonofjorel1000 Go easy on nutes to start. When I’ve had issues with early trigger I’m confident it was due to nutes. I have them start around there sometimes and they will stretch nice the next few weeks… go from 10” to 30” after they start flower. I would classify most their lineup in the small to medium range. Most are easy 60-100g plants in 75 days from seed. I’ve now grown probably 15 strains from Mephisto.. I find the yield is comparable to the ethos autos I grow. I’m willing to sacrifice some yield for the high output of the terps and frost in pretty much every strain I’ve grown.

@@sonofjorel1000 I find when the plants think they are capping/limiting in any aspect, it pushes the flower trigger. Even underwatering I suspect as part of the culprit. Often my stunted ones were underwaterd and flowered early. I do notice mephisto have been 6 week to turn to flower. average.

Glad to see you back! Finally pulled the trigger on an optic 2 gen 4 for my 2x3 seedling tent. Can't wait to try it out, and see the results! Been growing my mephisto autos in hydroponic 3.5 gal buckets. The grow store employees told me not to grow autos in hydro, because " it won't work" all of the come out amazing and super sticky! Grow on!

@Alex 10 wedding cheesecake autos yielded 813 grams after drying and curing. Some were bigger than others. I'd say 8 out of the 10 were perfect. 10 Amnesia Zkittles grew beside it and it yielded a little more. Just under 900 grams. Not bad for 9 weeks grow cycle.

Also I was looking at the floraflex auto chart and it says for example: in week 3 veg use 3grams each v1 and v2 per gallon. Are you giving it the floraflex Everytime you water? And how often do you water? How much water does a single plant normally need per watering? Gallon? Half gallon? 1/3? Thanks in advance if you respond to all this I know it’s a lot but I’m just starting out and haven’t seen anyone actually detail this lol

First off, mad props for the channel. It has been super helpful with my grows so far. This is off topic for the video but I am curious about air pots. Most of the videos I see about them are a couple years old. Are they worth using? I see mixed opinions but have not been able to find a side by side grow to showcase the difference in real time. I am getting ready to plant some autos and I have seen you use them in several grows but not all. What are your thoughts? StayFaded

You can calculate your par by a known par reading or readings at a fixed distance and power level. Then calculate PAR per inch that you raise the light. You can claculate the PAR by wattage too. 400 wats vs 200 watts calculates to about half the PAR. Save your money and buy silver coins. At the end of the day if your leaves are still reaching for the light that means they can take more.

I have both volcano hybrid and arizer, the arizer is by far a MUCH better bang for your buck than the volcano. It has both the whip and bag attachment. The volcano has amazing quality and anytime I have an issue or need a new part they send it no questions asked.

I’ve grown all of those strains a few runs ago and orange sherbet hands down is my absolute favorite and the frost level is insane, I’ve grown purple lemonade a few times and both times consistently purple buds but not the strongest of strains in my opinion

Great info Doc. I wanted to chime in on the seeds showing up! I've had three different runs with three different strains, two photo's and an auto, in which I found one seed in a plant on each run. I was floored and left wondering how the heck do you only get one seed from a tent full of plants, so I did my research. I found that Cannabis females that don't get pollinated and don't think they will can produce one or a few seeds within themselves and not pollinate. They do so to carry on their genetics so when they die and decay the seeds they produced for themselves will go into the ground and therefore carry on her genetics, It kind of clones itself with a seed. I just trimmed my last auto run, Critical Mass, and found one seed in a bud out of four plants, so no worries about a seed or two. Hope this helps everyone and happy growing.

Seeding 2-300, veg 5-600, flower 900-1400. Adjust based on how the plants react but that should get you to optimal DLI for all stages. I would personally be back down in the 700-900 range for finishing

Usually it's 0.5 gr per watt and upwards when it comes to HID (MH/HPS) lamps, whereas with LED it's gram per watt and upwards That's if you are average grower, and ofc grow parameters (temperature, humidity, CO2, air flow etc) as well as pot size play an enormous part in yield potential Disclaimer: I never run autos, photos only But I've run MH veg HPS flower for years prior to switching to LED few years back

Im into flavors right now and have cherry pie seeds , purple kush, super og kush , pink kush mints , godfather og X hells pink kush, animal cookies. Im wanting to make my own seeds with these as some are regulars like the pink kush mints , animal cookies godfather og X hells pink kush. I want to order grape ape next from bc bud depot. I get all my seeds from them. Im thinking of getting tangie X girls scout cookies = tangie cookies and it has 5.5% terps and the buds are white color. New grower (old consumer), just chopped my 1st auto in the 4 th month! Buds were super tight for weeks but would not amber at all. Is this common? 50/50 hybrid, high CBD, ILGM CBD Kush.

You might want to try lower ing light intesity and getting temps a little cooler at night during finishing stage otherwise they will continue stacking or some strains will just start foxtailing instead of finishing.

I wanted to put a note for all the Virginia growers, especially in the Richmond area. A new grow store named "Passion 2 Grow" is opening up in Midlothian right next to the Wal Mart and Sam's Club. not enough nitrogen, autos still need it even after you see pistils. I used to go right to bloom nutes on autos after I saw buds forming, now I hold off longer.

My first herb seed planted after waiting 23 years, because I wanted a legal plant. But that poor thing had the worst AUTO start ever. For 3-4 days the root was not sure where "down" is. Two days later I had a pot-accident and the poor, tiny thing with its first two leaves was airborne, hangtime like AIR Jordan. This sounds as horrible as it was but the plant can only yield 50g legally - everything else I have to "destroy". I am really sorry for the plant but it has to remain an Auto-Marry-Don't-you, Anna! Bonsai anyway.

I understand everyone's desire to find out par readings but seriously guys your plant is your meter! You want fan leaves flat horizontal if they are up "praying" bump it up. If they are curling to much that simple. Different strains Different breeders etc. Go off what your plants want not what you want smh

Auto flowers are not to be trusted! They will play tricks on you! Don’t let those bastards win! I got several strains of autos from a seed bank in Spain I felt like some were good old school genetics like a ChemDawg, the AK-47 beans I popped I had like 6 plants that were 1 cola and one plant that grew big and produced well. Those tricky bastards!!

I’ve had 3 different packs of Fastbuds where 3 of the 5 seeds popped straight into flower no veg stage just pop out one set of leaves then a bud forms. It’s weird really weird it’s almost like they messed with the genetics too much and they aren’t stable anymore

​​@@ikontrolcod interesting I planted an orange Sherbert from fastbuds into a 10 gallon pot it is 4 ft tall it started to Bud three weeks after it sprouted. I have a Dutch Masters blueberry that is extremely tiny and although it leaved out pretty well it did not get any taller than 12 in and it's two weeks younger than the orange sherbert . I believe it to be genetics that particular pheno of that genetic was just short or whatever etc.

hi there im growing a afghan cush in a 2x2 with the mars 600 light problem is its now going into week 13 and the tricine's are still clear but leaves are going brown on top but still green on the rest of the plant ps its a auto love some help

Sounds like a light intesity issue if it’s only on the top. Raise the lights 6” and lower intesity slightly and they should start to finish off
