It is called a heat mat and should be available pretty easily

This is an awesome video. One question. Can I reuse the potting mix? I am about to buy 6 bags, which will mean 600 litres of potting mix. Obviously, it is not economical to throw this out each time, So do I need to do anything with the potting mix to 'freshen it up' so I can re-use it?

I recommend you get potting mix delivered in bulk from your local soil yard to make it cheaper. 1m3 is enough for ten planter bags. You can always add the excess to your garden. Yes you can reuse the mix year after year. Just freshen it up by adding fertiliser and some compost and dig it in. Brian :-)

Why are my seedlings always very leggy and then fall over and die! I have them in a propagator with a heat mat.
@aussiegardenerstore Жыл бұрын
Hi Trev, Seedlings grow leggy when they are searching for more light. Place them in a spot that gets early morning sun and then open shade the rest of the day. Give them a half strength feed of seaweed solution or amgrow harvest. You might want to consider investing in a grow light, then you could raise your seedlings indoors. Remember to have it on for only 12 hours a day as they need night time to rest. An ordinary light wont work, it needs to be a full spectrum light specifically for plants. We currently dont sell any, but you will find them at hydroponics stores for growing you know what. Sometimes larger nurseries will sell them in their indoor plants section too.
