My, how cute! I didn't know there is a pumpkin that grows in a bush form. I've got to give this one a try!😃 Thanks for the introduction and tips!

Yes there are few pumpkin varieties that grow in bush form. I did another video on bush variety "Wee be Little" you can check: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fXjWfHlsjsqZn8ksi=in4I680gfsp8jAv0 . They very easy to grow and take much less space. Well worth trying! Hope you will have a chance to grow them. Happy gardening and thank you so much for your comment! 😊

Thanks for the awesome tutorials . Please make a video on what you use for any kinds of pests in the garden
@TowardGarden5 ай бұрын
Glad you like the videos. Since pest control requires unique method for each plant and each pest, it is hard for me to make a general video that will fit all kind of pests. I have started to show some steps in some of my videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3zSk6mAqMqCaLMsi=8j7ivFnL4X9hTJgf&t=359 . But in general my method is to prevent and control them before they cause serious damage. So I check my plants regularly, and if needed, generally I spray Neem oil mix or Spinosad mix. I make sure to check and also spray BOTH sides of the leaves and not just top. If you don't want to use any mix, sometimes covering plants with garden netting will be a great option too. I hope this helps. So delighted that you enjoy my videos and thank you so much for your comment!

thank you so much for this video it is very helpful! one question though: how do I keep pests away from my plants? Whenever I plant things outdoors they get attacked by bugs and I don't know what to do. Any tips?
@TowardGarden5 ай бұрын
So glad you like the video. The pest control depends on the pest type. I have learned that the best is to check your plants and act with the first sign of pest presence. If you know for sure that bugs will show up in your garden, preventing is also critical. Spray your plants with neem oil mix amzn.to/4aErvHB or spinosad mix amzn.to/49KbWgh (both organic) weekly. You can also have other plants like flowers in your garden so bug will attack those instead of vegetables. I shared some tips on my other video starting kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3zSk6mAqMqCaLMsi=uzptshWliWbBjvWG&t=359 (starting at5:58). Hope this helps and thank you so much for your comment!

Can you pollinate using other squash flowers? Sometimes the male flowers don’t open at the same time as females
@TowardGarden3 ай бұрын
I haven't done it but cross pollinating either won't work, or will produce different fruits. You can keep male flowers in fridge if they show up first. Growing in multiple containers will help with this issue since you can pollinate flowers from different pots of same pumpkins. Happy growing and thank you for visiting.

I love your work❤, but why do you start pumpkins, squash, melons, and cucumbers in trays? They do best when directly sown
@TowardGarden5 ай бұрын
Glad you love the videos. For me, the best way is to start in seed starting mix. I can plan ahead, and also I am having issues when trying to germinate in the soil directly. If you don't wait until it is root-bound, then transplanting works great too as you can see in my videos. Of course, there are many many ways of gardening and you can practice what works for you the best. Happy gardening and thank you so much for your comment!
