if you have 4c hair heres a real quick tutorial. buy a mister. if u just cut ur hair or have short hair , get cornrows. every other day oil it. every day mist it and put in leave in conditioner. your hair NEEDS moisture to grow. every month take out the braids , give it a week wash it rock the braid out then get it re done. do this for around 4-6 months. ( you can get styles so its not the same thing) after your hair reaches about your upper lip or your nose , i suggest getting two strand twists , do the same method for the daily and every other day moisturerization. and take out your twists every month , rock the twist out for about a week and a half, and get it re done. protective styles prevent breakage heavily , and u dont wanna get them back to back cause thats how u get alopecia. to much tightness gets u traction alopecia. clean up your diet and drink a lotta water. and wear a bonet (cotten drains the moisture from your hair and you dont wanna have to re moisturize your hair in a single day cause thats how buildup becomes an issue.) also a big misconception , if your hair is getting buildup lets say after two weeks of having a style in , you can wash your hair while its in the style. make sure you watch a yt tutorial on how so you dont create a frizz mess though. thats really all , breakage is ur #1 enemy cause if ur hair grows .1 inches a month , but u constantly tugging at it takes off .03 inches due to breakage a month , your hair wont grow as fast cause your decreasing the amount u already had.
