Stick with the major indexes and their ETFs, and you won’t shitbag your account nearly as easily. Even leveraged ETF are better bets than most small cap meme stocks

I’m a new dad, I moved to the Bay Area a few years ago and I’m thinking of purchasing a single family home, but with real estate prices currently through the roof, is it still a good idea to buy a home or should I invest in stocks for now and just wait for a housing market correction? I heard Nvidia and AMD are strong buys.
@Fahima9Tazin21 күн бұрын
it’s a personal decision, but according to Forbes, housing activities will remain stagnant for the most part of the year, so maybe hold off a little.
@jonathanolulu194821 күн бұрын
well you could put a downpayment on a home and as well diversify as much as you can into Ai and pharm. stocks like Pfizer and JnJ.
@SallyW41421 күн бұрын
Certain Ai companies are rumoured to be overvalued and might cause a market correction, I’d suggest you go with a managed portfolio, but even those don’t perform so well, so it’s best you reach out to a proper fiduciary to guide you, that’s what works for my spouse and I.
@Fahima9Tazin21 күн бұрын
this is all new to me, where do I find a fiduciary, can you recommend any?

I really like Spero's rule for never losing more in a single day than you have the ability to make, and to take the average of your last 5 winning days and use that as your Daily Stop. You never want one bad losing day to wipe out an entire week's + worth of profits.

There is an interesting mental phenomenon. When a trade goes south, the mind wants to buy the same thing to try to recoup the losses. The thought is that you can adjust the cost basis. You buy in at a lower price. It's hard to force the mind to cut the loss and move on to another trade with a setup to earn that loss back.

New trader too (2 months) but I feel like you could avoided this loss by paying more attention to the macd to know when its safe to get in and when to bail out when i saw the macd starting to retrace to the signal line i bailed out and made good money on bnai

I was in the green the last two days in early morning trading. Up $5000 roughly and end of day I lost it all. Day two I got my account back to the $5000 by 11 am and I kept trading and lost it all again. Unbelievable but true. Greed factor is a big temptation that must be defended against mentally. It’s all about controlling oneself between the ears. Self control and discipline to STOP and shut it down
