@@Malibuflatliner I agree, I have just recently started to stream through Twitch and then making them available as a VOD (I edit the video) to put on KZbin. If people are spending too much time right now streaming and having 1 or 2 people, that doesn't help the longevity of your streaming. Hell I would even say people should be joining groups on Discord, or community pages so people know of you and if you ask the right questions, maybe someone will notice you. I mean I am not huge by any means it is a slow burn, but it's just realizing that it does take time.

I started streaming consistently in December averaged 3 viewers that month, this month of February averaged 17 viewers reached over 230 subs mindblown tbh almost quit at the end of December. #1 tip that helped me from not quitting is turning off viewer count ever since then been vibing and growing crazily!

#5 was intense and so straight forward. This is long winded kinda and I trust you to reply again because you always do (and it makes me so clutch reading “Wild4Games liked your comment” and “Wild4Games replied to your comment.” Anyway.....enough fanboy stuff. You’re epic and a role model on here no doubt, but, sadly I deleted my videos because I went through a little bout that I was not giving what I was capable of so I refreshed and hunkered down and deleted all of my videos. Now I’m ready for a fresh start AND NOTHING WILL STOP ME. Thanks to YOU I feel like there is nothing that can break me because I know I can be myself without hesitation yet throw a flare in their faces to make them say “OMG this guy is AWESOME” and suddenly I know I’ll wake up and check YT studio and see those numbers growing. Of course it could be about the income, but that’s not the basis. The basis and foundation goal is to give content that uplifts people of all ages and preferences. You taught me to keep it original and keep it clean. I wish there was a way that you could contact me directly and we could exchange ideas and network more. Great video! I'm a Rocket League streamer (I know you know Rocket League well Wild :) ) and I'm having doubts with tournaments. When I do them, I usually have a lot more viewers, but the majority don't chat, don't follow, and if I have some follows from tournaments, the people end up not coming back. However when I play ranked (I'm GC), I have less new viewers, but the people watching are more engaging, supporting and come back. So I'm not sure what to do. Tournaments are good for discoverability but I feel it targets a very specific group of people who are likely to not come back on stream. But if I don't do that, it's hard to get new viewers. I would appreciate any opinion on this :)

Maybe a mix of both. If you do tournaments and viewers come in, there's always a decent chance that at least a few people will stick around. There will always be one or two people at least who will stick around, and hopefully if you alternate between ranked and tournaments you'll be able to grow quicker

From yourself.... Watch your VoD and pretend your a new viewer and see what you have to improve on. Once you have people watch you, ask them for feed back and input

I feel like that first tip (open lobby games) definitely did not have female streamers in mind. I used to do open lobby and playing with viewers. The amount of guys on twitch that specifically seek out women to troll is.. disheartening. After the umpteenth time of letting a random join just for him to yell the N word immediately, I had to ditch playing with new people altogether.

Trolls are brutal on both sexes so its best to be smart about who you let in to your game lobbies. A smart trick you can try, is when new viewers come in wanting to play. Say, "Yes I will be more than happy to play with you but let me get to know you first. Stick around in the chat and lets talk and interact for 20 to 40 mins. This way I get to know you BUT you also can see if I would be a great fit to play with you too." Trolls are lazy and will bone out in like 2 mins ( see if that helps on your journey )

I used to get around 30 viewers (1-2 years ago) with 60ish followers on twitch because I did custom match-making on Fortnite but now I get like 1-3 but still on the grind

Everyone has to start from somewhere. If you want to stream you have to understand it's your job to provide entertainment. Too many streamers go live and sit there quietly waiting for chat to explode. You have to be entertaining (Or at LEAST talking) before anyone will want to show up and watch. Hope this helps!

You have to entertain your community before it will grow. Even if that means talking to nobody that's where you have to start. Too many streamers go live and then sit there quietly waiting for chat to explode. It doesn't work that way you have to provide the entertainment before people will stick around.
