President Holland speaks directly to my heart. He gets right to the point using a bit of humor but doesn’t sugar coat his counsel. I love and sustain this great Disciple of Jesus Christ.

This is such a very remarkable prophetic message that I will remember for a very long time while I journey here on earth thankyou brotherholland for your beautiful spiritual prompting for your guideance

He is right….we can follow the prophet too, and get rid of the debris in our lives, and we can live the way Elder Holland says. Debris comes in many forms, both within us and without us. It is encumbering, and letting it go, or getting rid of it will make us truly free!!

This came at a perfect time for me! I borrowed a computer from a friend because mine doesn't have the horsepower to do the (G-rated) video rendering I need. He told me, when I first borrowed it, to not delete anything because there are some files he needs. I noticed that there is a folder full of many mp4 files marked XXX. It was becoming more and more tempting to look at some. I finally decided to either delete them or return the computer. I called him and he chuckled and said his 14 yo nephew has access to the computer, so just delete any movie files that I find offensive. Now the evil one can't tempt me to look at them because they aren't there.

Jesus Christ gave us the word of God, the scriptures, if you stay in the word of God, you will have protection. In Ephesians 6:10 we have the Armor of God, that protects you from the evil one. "Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, l stand". God does not dwell in temples made by man, but He does dwell in word of God, the biblical scriptures, this is where you are protected, nothing else has the authority. You also may ask God to give you His discernment, only He can give it to you, not of yourselves, this will keep you from false prophets.

The Scriptures warn us of things about our leaders we can't see, Preface… concerning the Twelve Apostles of the Lamb... Behold, vengeance cometh speedily upon the inhabitants of the earth... And upon my house shall it begin... First among those among you...who have professed to know my name and have not known me, and have blasphemed against me in the midst of my house...(D&C 112:24-26) O my people, they who lead thee cause thee to error...(2 Nephi 13:12) Let no man deceive you by any means...that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition... Who opposeth God...sitteth in the temple of God...(2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) ...until he be taken out of the way. (2 Thessalonians 2:7) While that man, who was called of God and appointed...shall fall by the shaft of death, like as a tree that is smitten by the vivid shaft of lightning. (D&C 85:8) Never in the Bible or any Mormon Scripture can you read of a prophet, apostle or prophetess saying these words, I promise. For to do so would make themselves instead of God. Promises are only made by God Himself never by man throughout all the Sciptures except, Nehemiah 5:23 and Joshua 9:21, where man made a promise for a negative outcome. So, we see from Scripture man’s promises result in a bad outcome. Beware of the promises made to you by man saying, I promise, in behalf of the God of Jacob, the Scriptures warn us. ...the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation...(2 Timothy 3:15) If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:15)

@@chef_has_riz You can’t be specific? like, what don’t you get? The Scriptures must be very confusing for you…Peter says Paul’s writings are hard to understand: As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. (2 Peter3:16) Do you wrest the Scriptures because you don’t get it? The consequences don’t look good for you…
