Tons of questions on the suspension subject. Im not going to go over theory in this video just the raw settings of all the suspension points and measurements..

Amazing you’re doing this with coil springs. I’m really close to my first outing with the 4gfox. I’ve scaled mine with the engine very far forward and a powerglide and it 2325 without fluids and 51% rear bias with me in it. I’m glad you posted this video so I have some real starting data since I’m gonna run it with coil springs initially.

How do you like the Strange front struts..? Or have you since changed..? I have the 4cyl struts in the front of mine now but it hasn't seen the track yet nor has it been launched hard on the street. I am running the Team Z street beast set up in the rear with the relocated uppers, strange adj shocks and their drag springs. I really don't want to drop $1500 on drag struts. I seen Bilstein make a drag strut but I don't think it's adjustable.

Kris, it appears you still have the stock lower torque boxes, I assume they have been reinforced though, are they holding up or slowly destroying themselves. Are you planning to replace with aftermarket lower torque boxes, or do you plan to continue with what you have ?

Yea the lowers are stock. I might do the lowers one day but at this point it’s not necessary.

Whats the AS and instant center measurements?
@todds5956Ай бұрын
I bought a Quick Performance 9 inch house. Beautiful piece but the top ears are higher than a 8.8. Does anyone have that measurement on a 8.8? Centerline of axle to the center of the ear? Thanks

Higher is probably better. It will shorten your instant center.

Random question... at what point should I consider a single beadlock rim. I'm aiming for 800-1000whp. I also plan to run 275/60r15 pro radials on a 10 inch rim, unless there is a good reason to use 12 inch rims. I have to decide before I shorten my axle.
@fox-body Жыл бұрын
I would at that power level. Wish I would have. 10 inch rim would be perfect.

I currently have the Team Z relocated upper control arm kit. Is there a difference between relocating the uppers vs relocating the lowers? Or does it give the same end result? I see more fast cars with relocated lowers.
@fox-body9 ай бұрын
Ideally you want to be able to move both but many have been plenty fast with the kit you have.

Do you need adjustable uppers for the pinion angle or gust lowers?
@fox-body5 ай бұрын
You can do just the lowers.
@lucasmetzger49355 ай бұрын
Would you recommend adjusting pinion angle off of lower control, arms or upper? I only have 400 to the wheel but I’m still looking for my car to bite as hard as possible.
@fox-body5 ай бұрын
Usually uppers. You can adjust the lowers some to adjust pinion as long as your wheel stays centered in the wheel well.
