@nicholasboule51344 жыл бұрын
the lens actually makes it so you need to stretch the image so the letterboxing size happens without the need to add letter boxes or crop. he gets legitimately that much image, he is not cropping any image off the top and bottom
@zacharyzubiate66194 жыл бұрын
@@nicholasboule5134 I think he means that the entire video was at the stretched resolution instead of standard 16:9. He couldve been lazy and slapped the 2.35:1 anamorphic footage into a 16:9 timeline but instead he changed the timeline resolution. A good practice for editors.

By the way, before I buy a full frame (and also an APSC Canon M2), what kind of an adapter will get the full frame lens composition lens to Canon 60D and which adapter will enlarge the composition of a small 25mm 1.8 CCTV lens?

Merci
@MathieuStern4 жыл бұрын

@talpalatnyizold4 жыл бұрын
When you use the wide angle adapter you have the middle spot which is sharp, other part of the frame is useless. So you have the same sharp area, everything else is blurry, does not matter wider angle view. The same with strong diopters. I think you can go until diopter no2, but I'd like to see better example shots, because I just can't see details around the dinosaur. Did you use F1.8 in every shot? What if, when you use F4 or more? I used the DSLR Magic 1.33 adapter, but I never liked it. I think this can be a good alternative to me.

Hi, I will try this trick with my Canon Broadcast 0.8x ADAPTOR. Still sold but very expensive at around £650 I never thought it could be useful on an Anamorphic lens, I have the SLRMagic 50, so when all this virus thing is over will try idea out. Am expecting any time soon my Sirius anamorphic 50mm lens now on its way as shipped last week. I bought the Canon 0.8x as it had the least aberration and edge distortion that I never found acceptable until I bought this one. I have a box full of at least a dozen different wide angle attachments, many pro and even Sony and Panasonic and they are all rubbish and degrade your lens image and edges are terrible. Guess that's why the Canon one was soooooo expensive lol. I have two of them now. Heavy beast, one with nassive lens hood and the other came without.Buying the plastic mounded lens hood costs as much as buying a lens and a real ripoff, So for that one will use a matte box. Hope this helps.

@@xtra4u210 Hi Steve, i looked up the Canon WD-H72 0.8x converter , which I guess is what you have? But I noticed the metal barrel at the rear of the converter lens protrudes a few milimeters beyond the filter thread at the back. I'm wondering if this causes problems attaching it to the front of a lens like the Sirui?

just so you know, on the Sony full frames, they record full sensor and then down rez to 4k. In super 35 mode(APSC), the camera records in true 4k. So by cropping in on the full frame footage, it really isn't 4k.
@GCSUPPLY4 жыл бұрын
Matt Wolfe Gaming but on the Sony A7III it records 6K downsampling it to 4K in full frame. By that you get a better 4K at full frame then APSC.
