Just got back from a cruise on MSC ship Euribia. The TV was absolutely useless. They had some regular channels but that is it, if one wanted a movie the costs was a few euros for every shity title. Couldn't link the Apple TV, because the HDMI wash kinda dead. I could get into sources but I could't see any device, what do you think about that? Regarding the internet, all is paid by device and after you made the connection through web browser, you couldn't have any tethering, no hotspot. You can't have a connection on Apple TV (without a browser so you can acces the interface) even if you hacked the TV and managed to install it with a universal remote or some IR blaster (though I don't think is the case here, as long I can go into sources).

How do you get the audio output jacks to work? I've tried to connect my boombox with detachable speakers via stereo audio jacks and cables to numerous hotel TV's only to find they don't work. How can I fix this?
@hml8 ай бұрын
I actually never use the TV out. Either I use the TV audio, or I use Bluetooth from the Chromecast/Xiaomi TV box to stream to headphones or a JBL Flip speaker.

I assume your German accent is real.
@hml10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, no, I actually don't speak German. I speak English, Hebrew, Russian, a bit of Serbian, understand quite a bit of Arabic, Ukrainian and a bit of Japanese. But for the last few years, 90% of the time I speak English.

What app is needed on phone to change out put on lg tv
@hml Жыл бұрын
That depends on the phone you have, but in order to control the TV from your phone, you need a phone with an IR remote. But another option, is to buy a universal LG remote such as this amzn.to/3Yz1TWM

I’d be interested in the arduino IR blaster video if you get the chance! Great videos!

Me to hubby bought 3 tv at yard sale unfortunately we found out they were hotel tvs now paper weights can't unlock
@hml Жыл бұрын
@@rebecca2017 well, definitely not paper weights! so far I could unlock every LG hotel TV I've tried, so they aren't too well protected. Try getting a remove like the one I suggested in the other comment, and follow the steps in this video, and they should make an awesome TV on the cheap!

I was trying to figure out how to hook a USB thumb drive to a hotel TV so that I can watch my movies
@hml2 ай бұрын
Hooking a thumb drive is very dependent on the specific TV, so instead I still prefer the usage I present in this video - a $15 device gives you the ability to stream almost anything, and with a Hotspot on your phone, you can stream it easily through the hotel's WiFi.

I usually just use a raspberry pie and then my Flipper zero for all the admin settings, etc.
@hml3 ай бұрын
That assumes you have a Flipper Zero, and travel with a Pi. Which I do as well. But it's 5 times more expensive and much more bulky than what I show here.
