You just showed me how to do what the install instructions couldn't. Much appreciate the video. Much to my wife's disliking, I just did a late night destruction of a 10x10 4' high area of 1" diameter brush in roughly 3 minutes thanks to you!

Thanks! This greatly simplified my search for how to mount a brush blade on my Ryobi gas trimmer. I didn't know what adapter I might need to secure the blade after removing the trimmer head. Really appreciate you adding a link to the kit you used. Again, thanks!

Thank you! You saved me a ton of money. I am cutting down brush and saplings and a ton of massive over growth. I already had the Ryobi brush cutter attachment but it wasn't quite doing the job. This blade will cut through more.

The only thing from adapter kit that is useful but hardly necessary is the cup. It serves as a spacer to give the brush blade some vertical clearance, in addition for the holding nut to clamp down on the blade. If you can find a heavy duty metal washer that is large enough to go over the arbor and the inner diameter of the blade, you are in business without resorting to the kit.

Thanks for the vid man. I had to remove the shield on the wacker because the blade would not go on there without it removed. There is a part that sticks out to far. So I am just going to have to be really careful and wear good eye protection until I can cut some of that away to make it fit.

Hi, I need to try this. I just bought the weed wacker, but my weeds are like thick and 4ft tall. It is going slow and it stalls. I got the 40v expand it, that makes a beeping noise when you hit the trigger. I hope the size fits. Anyway, I just need to buy the blade and give it a try. Thanks. maybe it will cut the high growth on the hedge too.

Do you happen to know the size of the hex nut that you removed from the trimmer attachment? Or maybe where I can get a replacement? The one I had actually flew off :(
@VeraProjects
@VeraProjects 10 ай бұрын
The only solution I found to obtain the correct nut was purchasing an entirely new trim head from Ryobi. I encountered a similar issue before where I couldn't locate the appropriate size nut despite testing various ones at Home Depot. As a result, I decided to acquire a new head and then used the nut from that unit.

You should have explained that sometimes you MAY have to trim down obstacles that keep the blade from paying down in place, such as plastic safety extensions, like you had to. Dremel's come in handy for this.............................2:50............ Didn't think I caught that, did you?😂
