How to Hand Pollinate Dragon Fruit Flowers

Here is how I am attempting to hand pollinate my dragon fruit flowers. I am, basically, twisting the stamen around inside the stigma and hoping the pollen will fall off and take care of the rest. I started using this technique after I felt helpless watching my first ever dragon fruit flower wilt, fall off, and result in now fruit.
I am hopeful this will result in several flowers setting fruit.

We are at the 38th parallel here, so I am thinking that is a big factor for variance vs someone growing them in tropic or sub-tropic regions. Most of my flowers have consistently opened or been fully open at 6:00 AM.

I just realized how similar our latitudes are. I am in Indiana, USA. This variety is American Beauty. I wonder if that has an impact on blooming time...
