I'm only 16 and didn't know too much about this before you told me how. My hoodie is drying now but it already feels and looks A LOT better! The water was so dirty and that gave me relief knowing that it's working. I rinsed and rinsed until the water stayed clear! Thank you so so much!

I'm a man and know nothing about this sort of stuff. So glad women like you make these sort of videos. I have a £500 Philip Plein Jacket made out of polyester and nylon which the care label says hand wash. I'm going to hand wash it in my bath, will an inch of water be ok and how much washing powder shall I use? The reason I'm washing in the bath is so that i don't have to crunch the jacket up and can just roll it over in the water. The coat isn't dirty just had a slight bad odour under the armpits. Any advice you can give would be much appreciated. Thanks, Tim BTW - I do have a good modern Samsung washing machine with a Hand Wash setting (29 min wash, 30 degree, 2 spins @ 400rpm) but given the price of the Jacket I can't afford to ruin it. Do you recommend hand washing it as opposed to using the washing machine.
@dereton336 жыл бұрын
Hand washing is always best with a jacket of this value, especially if the label says to handwash! Although if it is made out of polyester and nylon is should be alright in the machine as you have the correct hand washing setting. However I know I would wash it by hand. Use the bath, just make sure the soap powder has dissolved in the hand hot water otherwise it might stick to the jacket in lumps. I would use enough water to cover jacket and allow movement as you wash/roll it; keep gently squeezing the soapy water through it and concentrate on the dirty/soiled areas with gentle rubbing,. Do not be aggressive or over rub! It's hard to say how much soap powder I would use, enough to make the water soft, so maybe about half a cup should do it. Make sure you rinse it thoroughly. You may not want to use a fabric softener as the jacket might become too soft afterwards and not hold it's shape, however if you find it feels very stiff you could always add a small amount. Do not use fabric conditioner on it if it's waterproof.
