i stumbled on this account because of the bearded dragon video you made and I really love the different creations you make! Love your channel and it gave me motivation to create a better enclosure for my beardie and now ball python :)

Very helpful! I have lizards and a turtle, but I just got my first snake and he’s very very tiny! (Only 4 months old) so I have to make sure to be gentle since he’s a tiny tiny hognose snake!

Me and my little snake obsessed boys 3, 4 and 5 years old, are loving your videos. An aussie talking about aussies is exactly what the soul needed. I was suprised to see you use a hook as a rule. We don't use a hook but do find if we touch rather then grab/hold then it can spook them. Its not until we are grabbing/holding that they are 100% relaxed. We will now start to try using a hook to see if it helps. We have never had a snake strike and I do wonder how my super chill snake handling kids may change if they get bitten. I also wonder if the reason our snakes are so chill is because my kids have 0 fear of them. I have told my boys that if they spend a couple of years learning everything they need to know (giving me time to get the set up $$$$$), then we may breed them a few times. We have BHPs, Spotteds and Prosepine Carpet pairs. I am wondering if you would make some videos explaining why breeding is in no way simple and what is involved, ie pairing, cooling, mating, incubating, hatching, feeding etc until they are established enoughed to be homed. Again, loving your channel!!!

Thanks soo much for the kind words! Yeah the snake hook technique will just avoid any confusion for the snake. And it sounds like when your kids handle the snakes they are quite calm, it is believed by some that snakes and lots of animals can sense stress and this could impact handling. So staying calm whilst handling is a great strategy. I am looking into breeding my Children's pythons next breeding season and intend on making a video about that and everything that goes into it! The next couple of videos will probably be more building videos as they are in the works now. Thanks soo much for supporting the channel 🙏
